It has to be similar to this (see link below). Most tents assemble in similar ways. Insert rods through the sleeves. Hook one side of the rod to one corner, arch the rods and hook the other side of the rod to the opposite corner. Repeat for the other rod.

I guess Just Check to make sure all circuts are closed... that is robalbey the best a can do with the info you gave me... try consulting the troubleshooting section in the manual. Hope this helps

For others, not the OP from ten years ago: Search Amazon "JR Products 97025 Chrome Manual Water Faucet" and this might be the same mechanism and parts as your Coleman 2231 pump. I went to my local shop in Calgary (starts with an H and ends with obo's, fixya considers that word to be profanity so I can't use the name H*bo's) and they had them there for $39. I swapped the plunger, cork and cylinder from the new one into my Coleman 2231 and will keep the bits from the new one for possibly the other parts in it.

Instructions for assembly setup

The directions are on the actual tent bag. The trick to setting this tent up is to stake it down first. Then set up the center poles - you will need at least two people to do this. Once it is staked it will go up pretty fast.
