I have a 1984 Kawasaki

Often times when cleaning the carbs, you will need to remove the jets and make certain that they are free from all obstructions. Even the smallest particle can cause problems. Also, you may want to have the carbeurators synchronized.

I have a 14 HP Kawasaki engine on my John Deere

All the "safety" engine-kill "features" on this mower will ground the ignition system, stopping the engine and causing a no-spark condition. Check the seat switch, the brake switch. Also, the circuit board will cause the problem you have if it gets rained on, (the mower hood does not protect it); point is do not let the mower get rained on (or washed) unless you protect the PC board, which is right behind the ignition switch. Mine dried out and worked again but only after liberal spraying with (plastic-safe) electronic parts cleaner. You are right the manual would help, it's like $76 but it's in depth. Good luck, and PLEASE tell us what the solution was! -Tom

Helpful Deere lx176, lx178, hood hinge tip: If the hood hinge is broken on yours like on most, Deere has a GREAT repair kit that's only $10. They really priced it at cost or less to correct a defect they are aware of.

How to change the oil in a 2000 Kawasaki Jet ski.

You can purchase a cheap pump that will work off a drill, or a hand pumper. You will have to pump the oil out of the motor into a container, change the filter, and be careful not to overfill the engine when putting the new oil back in with a funnel. It is possible that the motor is not staying on because the oil level is low. Some machines have on oil level sensor that turns them off when the level is too low.

When my jet ski is wide open its missing every so

BOAT#1: I experienced the same thing when I had a mouse nest in my water box. When ever you turned left the nest would plug the exhaust and cause an RPM drop till the boat slowed down. BOAT#2: Another thing that can cause intermittent running is moisture in the electronics box. If the box has water in it, open it up overnight to let it dry out, then reseal it and it should run normally again. BOAT#3: The third thing that has caused the same issue you described, was dirty carburetors (SS XI) from bad gas and improper storage. This was made worse because there were also bad spark plug caps on the machine. Hope one of these solutions fixes your problem.

I have an 02 vulcan

Sure, cables always start stretching just before they snap, as one strand at time breaks and unravels.
But is could also be a lack of oil in the transmission, friction material coming loose from previous slippage and binding, etc.
You say the adjustment is ok, but how much freeplay does it have?

You are dealing with moisture in your electronics box or moisture corrosion in you carburetor. Take you carburetor apart and clean it . Make sure the needle is not sticking and do not alter the spring in any way.

1995 kawasaki 750 jet ski

Check your plug color. You may be having a high speed mixture problem. Is your ski spitting water out the tiny hole on the side? You should try flushing the engine, you could have a motor full of sand if you beach the craft but do not wash the sand out of the back before starting. Also inspect the engine water tubes for cracks. From the hull to the motor and from the hull to the jet pump.

The seals in the drive pump can be replaced by taking off the ride plate and pump housing. To replace any other seals (engine or hull) you will have to remove the motor from the hull.
