Just as a matter if interest, were you using the tool in soft or hardwood? This is something that only happens if repeatedly used in an extremely hardwood like Ekke or similar. Did Hitachi resolve the problem with you? Regards Alex

The piston is broken if it came out. Remove the 4 bolts on the head, remove head and you will see the piston - be careful removing it because it is easy to score the cylinder walls if it is cockeyed. Replace the driver, lubricate the O-ring before inserting

use the lube that came with the kit, you can replace everything correctly but if oring gets pinched it will still leak

New user will jam the gun/ nails because gun was most likely not bump fired. Placing the gun then depressing trigger will usually cause double fire in the hands of new user. New user should practice on scrap lumber bump firing at many angles till they get the idea; or give them a training period with a nailer that has a single shot trigger (they may develop bad habits with single shot however).

I have the same nailer and I got a nail jammed in it when I hit a piece of metal.

I had to take the magazine off then remove the safety. This can be done with a hex key and a small wrench. Onece I had access to the nail head I banged it out with a hammer and small punch. It all depends on how and where its jammed, hopefully you don't have to take it apart and can just pull it out with pliars.

Oil leaking out of the nailer anywhere is just an indication that too much oil is being introduced. A good solution would be to reduce the amount of drops until no more leaks out or use an in line oiler at the gun. An oiler costs under ten dollars and feeds in oil vapor as you use air. Store / hang your nailer with the air inlet down at night to drain out access oil. Do not worry too much about the leaking though, I think that a bit too much oil is better than a lack of oil. Have you disconnected it from the air source and deep cleaned the nail gun? Sometimes even a tiny bit of dirt can block the rails the rod runs in. Once cleaned add a small amount of oil to the rod runners.

Test the volts and amps of the battery after charging, then try to shoot nails then test again after the blinking orange light. I know nothing about these tools but Hitachi produce quality gear that isn't usually prone to intermittent faults. If I was faced with your situation I would check the power cord for internal breaks and check the internal connections and then investigate the functioning of any safety device that might be incorporated into the design - such a powerful tool would surely have safety built in or modern legislation would never allow them to be used on site. It was just a sort of gut feeling as it seems to be the built in safety that fails on many tools...

I've had that happen before and what I found was one of the Staples or nails had misfired and wedged before leaving the gun. read the manual on how to get to it for that particular model and also it might be a good idea to adjust your pressure accordingly to keep it from happening again. If the force isn't set proper then a nail could Jam , block the mouth and not allow any other nails to exit. It's very easy to do and not that hard to fix once you've done it at least once. The number one issue is bad fuel - even if you just purchased it, turn the cell over and check the date stamped on the bottom (often stores don't rotate their stock) If the fan starts when the nose is depressed but there is no spark then I would investigate the spark wire (make sure there are no nicks or cuts that may short to ground) and the ESU (Electronic Spark Unit).

Have you kept it properly oiled? It might be jammed because it's too dry.

Sounds like it's overly dry; needs oiling. Or there is something clogging the air lines or the air chamber inside the gun.
