Is it 220 vts ? If so, Check the outlet with a voltmeter to see if you have 110 vts. On both of the top terminals .

The output rectifier is bad. Call Miller Electric to confirm. Good luck.

It sounds like a relay is stuck closed. It could be on the control board. Call Miller welding and give them the model number and they will be able to help . Good luck

It’s close enough not to be able to answer that. The inrush current of a welder is huge anyway, so it could exceed the instantaneous capacity of the generator. However, it’s also possible with capacitance in the welder to smooth that out, that it will work fine. The only way to be sure is to test it. If you can’t do that before purchasing, it’s a risk you take. On balance it should work, but may not.

See what your duty cycle is suppose to be for that welder. It may have a internal fan that has stopped working to pull the heat out. Some have some don’t. If not add one and it may give you a little more time to weld

take it in for a check of the relay for the wire that turns on the power when the trigger is pressed that relay activates the gas solenoid and the power to weld

Hey Joe, Sounds like a fuel starvation issue... the needle/seat/float that controls the flow of gas into the carburetor is probably sticking and letting a TINY amount of fuel in the carb,, running the engine burns it dry too quick and quits... takes a few minutes for it to refill, then you start it, and run it dry again,, (repeat-repeat-repeat).. sound about right?? Take it to any GOOD small engine mechanic... they can clean and set the carburetor... this is no biggie.. just very aggravating.. Good luck! .please mark as helpful...

You are probably going to have to replace the complete assembly, and it is probably going to cost about $150. I would contact Hobart by phone with your serial #, and they should have the correct part# , since there is no parts list in your manual, and none seem to be available on line. Not really. You can purchase aluminum stick electrodes, but they generally don't work that well. You will find it best just for steel.

Any welding supply store should be able to get you one. It comes from Miller.

I assume it is a low voltage tap off the welders generator that supplies voltage for welding.
