Had the same problem with mine. Remove the 3 screws on top and remove the lid. on mine the firing pin assembly was jammed. If the roller seems to be holding the pin carriage too tight then you need to prise up the spring mechanism over the carriage. To do this go to the end at the back of the machine and insert a screwdriver between the top carriage and the frame. prise gently and it should pop up. the firing pin should now move freely

Remove 2 screws on metal front cover. Remove screws holding handle halves together and carefully separate (Be careful because trigger spring can fly out on you). This will expose the belt and allow replacement. There is a spring loaded idler pulley so removal & replacing is easy.

Check the driver blade assy, it might be stuck or bent.

They are a very complicated tool. You can use this link to view the parts diagram but I would highly recommend taking it to an authorized DeWalt servicing dealer. Usually caused by stuck head valve or stuck driver. Remove the head and lube the headvalve with white grease or silicone paste. Pull the driver and lube the cylinder making sure that the driver does not fit too tightly in the cylinder.

Try some 3 in 1 oil on the tip, but that probably won't work. It sounds like your windings are being being power hogs and you might need different brushes.
