Powershot Tool Company PowerShot 5700KB Forward-Action Heavy-Duty Staple and Nail Gun Kit Questions & Answers
PowerShot staple gun model 5700m is jammed
There is a silver screw near the back bottom (where you load staples) and you must unscrew it. Completely remove the small bolt and the silver base will pop right out. This base is the track where the loaded staples sit while in the chamber. Just remove the jam and re-install in the reverse order. Works like a charm now.
Handle stuck in locked position
One of the screws - furthest away from where the staples exit - has a nut on it... Remove the nut, then - using pliers - back out the screw. When I did this, the spring returned, a bent staple fell out and once re-assembled I could use the stapler again (for a few turns). It seems like the stapler is VERY sensitive to bounce during the stapling, you must hold it very tight (and flat) to the material so that the staple doesn't jam inside the stapler. Lousy product.
I just bought a powershot
Hello, W/D here.
I'm not exactly familiar with your model, but have several others, and they resemble yours, so please take these directions as "generic".
Open the fill slide as if putting staples in the machine, making sure that all of the staples have been removed. Insert instead the brads down one staple channel. On my stapler/nailers it is the left channel, facing the gun from the rear. Look carefully on the sides of the gun and the ends as , usually, there is some indication of which channel to use, and you rs may well be the other side. Load and test the gun on some scrap wood. If necessary, change channels and try the other side.
Best regards, -- W/D--

Spray wd 40 in to nose and tap lightly until plunger goes up. If unable to unstick may want to consider throw away part cost as much as replacement. Please rate. Thanks.
Need to where to look at a manual for reassembly
Okay I finally found it. This tool was made by Black and Decker/Dewalt. They have a description online but no online manual. You will need to contact a local branch or repair center and request a parts explosion for this tool. When calling make sure that you have you exact model number available. If you have any trouble finding a center or factory branch contact me and I will locate one nearest to your location. Good luck and sorry I couldn't help with online schematics.
