There is a magnetic valve controlled by a micro-controller. You have to reset the micro-controller. Do the factory reset by following the factory reset instruction in the owner's manual. This will solve the problem.

Maybe there is a problem with your supply of water.

I am assuming you have a float ball and not a "fluidmaster" type valve. If so, the noise is caused by vibration in the stem and washer assembly.

To fix this yourself, shut the water off under the tank and remove the three screws securing the top of the ballcock assembly (located inside the tank). Pull the float ball, stem and washer assembly up and out. Pry the rubber washer out and turn it over. Seat the washer firmly and place your hand over the open ball **** while you open up the stop to flush out any crud in the supply line. Reassemble and give it a flush. The sound should be gone.

You might need a new wax seal, but I would first check and ensure the bolts at the bottom of the toilet are tight enough.

If you are asking what options you have as a replacement non unless you can find a different brand that has the same rough-in measurements. Now it the carrier system behind the wall is adjustable then you may have more options.
