My one piece original porcelain sink and counter

If it is truly a porcelin top then you can use a product called plumbers putty available at your local hardware store. It will conform to the shape of the drain and provide a good seal. If this is a cast marble or resin type of product then plumbers putty will void any warranty and possibly discolor the sink. Ensure it is indeed porcelin before continuing and follow the manufacturers directions for installation. Good luck with your project.

Toilet bowl doesn't hold water but tank is full

The bowl is filled up with the little hose inside the tank, it locks inside of the overflow drain. And runs water in there as it flushes to swirl the water and fill the bowl. Water seeks it's own level, and the level in the bowl is at the top of the trap. It has to hold water, unless it isn't filling or it is leaking. Check out the filler and hope the bowl doesn't have a crack in it. Hope this helps.

I have an American Stadard Toilet that is only 2

There's a lot of variety in the works in the toilet tank. Assuming this is not a pressure-assisted toilet-----First understand the three valves are: 1. The shutoff valve - on the supply line coming into the toilet tank. 2. The fill valve - inside the tank, opens with the float descends, closes when the tank fills up. 3. The flush valve - inside the tank on the bottom. Common old style is a flapper on a pivot. Yours may operate straight up and down rather than on a pivot.
Three very common problems are---- 1. The chain that connects the handle to lift the flush valve is getting caught, not allowing the flush valve to close. 2. There is problem with the flush valve being able to get a good seal when it closes - could be debris or misalignment. 3. The fill valve is not closing when the tank is full, could need adjustment or there is debris preventing the valve to seat. . Here's are some steps to diagnose---- close the shutoff valve. Wait a few minutes as you watch the level in the tank. If the water level decreases, you have problem with the flush valve. To confirm the fill valve as the problem, turn the shutoff valve back on. Lift up on the float that is supposed to turn off the fill valve. If it shuts off, you should be able to adjust it - most have a +/- plastic adjustment screw. But if raising the float by hand only slows it down, you have problem with the seating of the fill valve - which can sometimes be cleaned, but more often would need to be replaced.
I hope this is helpful. Thanks for using FixYa.

How to remove jet rings on jetted tub

It depends on the brand of jet and tub, if it is a gold or silver trim ring, they will generally pry off with a screwdriver, just be careful not to damage the tub when doing so. When prying, move the screwdriver around the jet an inch at a time, just like opening a can of paint. Some rings will screw on, but most just pry off.

Broken jet line

If the break is in the flexible tubing that connects the nozzles it is most likely spa-flex. This is the same size as nominal schedule 40 pvc and can be repaired with standard pvc fittings, primer and glue. Make sure the surfaces are clean and dry before repairing them and also allow at least 24 hours cure time on the glue.

When jacuzzi is on water turns yellow

Are you on well water? If so you may have dissolved iron in the well water, it enters your house as clear water iron and then once areated in the tub it turns yellow as the iron oxidizes. Another sure sign of this is if the water in your toilet yellows after sitting in the bowel with no use after a few days. Solution: have a reputable local water treatment company come test your water, test for disolved iron, total hardness, and pH. If the disolved iron is 5ppm or less then a water softener will fix the problem. Make sure they add a turbulator to the softener and use iron fighter salt or mix iron-out into the salt tank.

Where can i get an Air switch 6871-aeo-u626

I assume that number is off the old switch. It is next to impossible to locate parts such as an air switch that way. What you generally need to know is what size the orriface is to fit the tubing, if it is a double or single pole switch, how it mounts in the control, etc. Based on those answers you would purchase a generic replacement.

Try this catalog if you like (**Warning** It is a large file: 20+ MB) and if you can ID the part(s) please contact us thru www.arrowpools.net for a quote on it.

The on off button presses down but not up and

This tub should certainly still be under warranty if it is less than a year old. With my business, I offer a one year warranty that is standard with all of my installs. You may want to try your contractor first to see if he/she offers a warranty. If your contractor did not offer you a warranty, you may call American Standard @ 1-800-442-1902 mon-fri. from 8 am-6pm EST. If you have to go through them, the part should be under warranty, but you will be on your own for the labor portion. I would still check with my contractor first. I do not know any contractor that does not offer a one year warranty. Unless this was just a handyman and not a professional contractor.
