Kohler K-16109-4-CP Revival Kitchen Sink Faucet... - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Kohler K-16109-4 Revival Kitchen faucets
There is definitely a problem with the cold valve if it is leaking, but it seems odd that it doesn't leak when it is on. If I was doing this, I would replace both valves.

I just received my carteridge
Hi Frank,
To replace the cartridge on the two handle style, remove the handle to get to the stem, not the base.
Then use a pair of pliers or crescent wrench to remove the stem. Also, replace any washers, if there are any.
It will help seal your cartridge if you put a little vegetable oil or a tiny bit of vaseline on the O-rings when you install your new one.
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,
Handie Andie

How do I remove the plastic insert to access the cartridge on a Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet?
To remove the plastic insert on your Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet, you can follow these steps:
First, turn off the water supply to the faucet.
Next, remove the handle of the faucet by unscrewing the set screw on the underside of the handle using a hex wrench or an Allen key.
Once the handle is removed, you should see a plastic insert that covers the cartridge. To remove this insert, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it off.
Once the plastic insert is removed, you should be able to access the cartridge.
If you need more detailed instructions, you can refer to the installation manual for your Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet .

Valve is set to far into the wall...
First, your not going to like the solution. There really is no way to solve this on kohler faucets. Some companies make adapters but as far as I know kohler isn't one of them. Hopefully you can cut a hole in the drywall behind and put it where it should be, if not the marble comes back off.
