Moen annabelle faucet handle fell off

1st put the DOME cap on by rotating it 180 degrees, to go OVER the white plastic gasket, then press on. Then you have to get that plastic square knob inside the dome, in a downward postition, thus TURNING the WATER ON, to work the handle back in place. Put the set screw on with an (tiny) allen stick wrenchy thingy.

If you look at the exploded view of the faucet, it shows that the cartridge is not threaded so you should be able to just pull it straight out.

Looking for an exploded view

Hi aerialaba,

Can I ask why you want to rebuild the entire faucet?
Usually, if you have a leak, you only need to replace the cartridge and the O-rings on it.

I'd be happy to help you with anything you need.

For starters, here is a webpage with the exploded parts diagram: >>>> http://www.moen.com/shared/pdf/7310pt.pdf Take a look at it and, if you decide you still want to rebuild the entire faucet, I'll locate the parts for you.

Thanks,

Handie Andie

You have a piece of sediment lodged in the spray head which can be removed by dissasembling the head... could also be a bad rubber seal in the head which might require replacement.

New moen kitchen single handle.

Unthread end of faucet (aerator) where the water comes out into sink, under the aerator is a screen & a plastic valve. It has sediment & rust which will disrupt the flow & pressure.Careful not to flush it down the drain. Tip upside down, while holding it together with finger. Flush it under the faucet. It is not uncommon to get plugged up initialy because of the new installation.

We are trying to find

You get the rebuild kit FREE from Moen, they will ship it to your door.
The hot and cold is a hook up issue and not resolved in the cartridge. Just switch the input hoses. Sometimes the faucet is actually installed 180 degrees out and causes the same condition. I presume that it worked okay, except the reversal of the water... so switch the hoses.

Re: Moen single-lever kitchen faucet

The water supply should have no bearing on the working motion of the faucet cartridge or handle. On both models of Moen faucet, the handle needs to be hooked under the cartridge's top cam bearing. It is a bit tricky sometimes. Here's the parts view for 7300 and 7310 Moen Kitchen faucet. Parts view for 7100 Moen.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

I have a Moen 7310 Legend Single Handle Kitchen

not difficult to take apart, but might be difficult for you to put back together...

lots of steps to repairing the faucet, might be best to call a handyman in your area.
there are several items that need to be replaced, including the O-Rings for the spout (the reason it is difficult to move from left to right), the diverter, the cartridge.
everything needs to be cleaned and greased with non silicone faucet lubricant, not vasoline!

we can run you through the steps if you are brave enough to try and repair. otherwise, I would call a handy man, he can have this fixed in about 20 minutes time.

The ball also has a slot that locates a pin in the body of the faucet to stop the ball spinning arround.

Low pressure,cleaned screen in tip,checked

Has pressure always been low? If faucet is new than there will be a flow restricter in the aerator. Most flow restricters can be removed easily. Some are a pain. Have you tried checking the pressure with the aerator off. That would tell you if the problem is there or in the valve.
