Epson Stylus NX415 does not
Epson Printers are sensitive in terms of Ink Cartridges.. The latest Epson Printers does not have ink reseter.. Ink reseter are already built-in on the ink cartridges.. The problem on this printer is when you have a cartridge on your printer, let say, 30% of the ink level, even though your ink is new, and you change it without using the right ink replacement method, it will recognize your ink as a 30% ink level. When your ink level drops to 0%, but you have remaining 70% of the ink, it does not recognize it anymore. The chip on the ink cartridge is already registered as an empty cartridge.

How do I insert inks
If you lift the entire top section just above where the print comes out (scanner lid and large section underneath, the heads should do an auto itititialize, wait for them to stop moving, pull open print head cover. simply pull out the old one, put the new ones in.

My printer won't print in
Maybe you need to change the settings on your PC and not necessarily the printer...OR if you are changing the PC settings try changing the settings directly on the printer panel

I cant print on white
Try placing some standard paper behind the vellum paper, it might assist in holding correctly while printing.
Being so thin the paper I would guess is folding up under the print head? if so look through all the printer properties, under the maintenance section there may be a "set Plattern Gap" (set to wide) or "Thick Paper Setting"
Selecting these raises the print head up to allow for thicker paper to pass through, but can also help thinner paper from folding up under the heads.
I hope one of these works for you.
Regards
GM

How do you get an
The NX400 will automatically go into Scan or Print mode from software. So if you want to scan, launching the Epson Scan software will control the scan functions. Similarly, printing from any application will cause the NX400 to go into Print mode. Copy Mode is the only mode you control from the printer device itself.
Hope this helps.

I am trying to print
The printer has no ability to know the paper type, this setting happens in SOFTWARE, like Word. Then the command is sent to the printer, more commonly you would change papertype for photo printing....Look in the software, and not the printer itself.

Have changed all cartridges on epson nx400. test
Hi
The
ink reservoir doesnt have to be completely empty to fail. Replace the
cartridges. Some of the jets or all of them may be clogged especially if you
have not used your printer in a while. If there are cleaning instructions in
the manual clean the jets and then try to print from the printer's self test

I have an epson NX400
hey friend,
This should be the problem of print head ink nozzle block. The nozzle for the black ink cartridge got dry.So the ink getsdried state. It won't allow any inks passing through the micro nozzles.Head cleaning won't help with the heavy nozzle block. So try replacing a new black cartridge or else bring the printer to the nearest service center. It'll help so.

Sharing the printer on the mac isn't as simple as that when you want a PC to use it too.
If you have the software on both, you'll need to get a USB auto (or manual) switchbox, or plug the printer into whatever computer is going to use it at that moment.
you MIGHT be able to share it from the PC to the mac, but I am not sure what the procedure would be there.
I used to have a program ages ago called PC-McLan that let me share the PC stuff to the mac network.
When I needed to share an external DVD writer between to PC's I built my own USB switchbox (still have it too, just don't use it. Wanna buy it? LOL)

My magenta ink won't work. Have just replaced
Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.
Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now
If that does not work then follow the next step.
Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

My Epson NX415 does not recognize refilled and
Don't let your ink levels drop below 25% before refilling and resetting your cartridges. There is an inner and an outer chip on these cartridges. The inner chip disables the outer chip when it's contacts are no longer bathed in ink. So, it doesn't matter if you "reset" the outer chip after refilling your empty cartridge because the chip was disabled. I'm really curious how you refilled these cartridges yourself without souring yourself on refilling from the experience. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and I refilled a set of these cartridges when we had replacement chips available (we don't now because our chip distributor was violating Epson patents) and it was an absolute mess, took forever, and the cartridges still didn't work in our test printer.

My epson nx400 getting message
Have you taken out the spacer between the cartridge and its locater handle? Else just try taking the cartridge out and re-inserting. If this fails have you tried powering the printer off, waiting 20 secs, and truning back on.
Hop this helps.
