Did you try replacing the print cartridges?

Try to replace and check. If u are sure that is has inks but does not print then you need to clean the nozzles with warm water.

Take a dump cloth and wet it with water and clean the print nozzles on the cartridges

You should use the HP software (that I assume you probably have installed on your PC) to see if there is any ink left in the printer cartridges. This may sound silly if it is a new printer, but I had an HP printer ship one time with faulty color ink cartridge.
If it is not an empty cartridge, I highly recommend lifting the top of the printer to reveal the ink cartridges. Take them out, and carefully place and seat them back in. Many times incorrectly installed ink cartridges causes printing problems. Hope this helps.

Hi There and Welcome to Fixya!What you need is a software driver for this Deskjet to "communicate" with your computer.  I have included the website where you can download the installation files.  Please note that this came from HP's support site :HP Printer DriverThe next thing that you need to ensure is to choose and click your operating system then choose "driver".  Wait for it to complete then open the folder where the files are downloaded and let the driver installation initialize.  (Make sure that your printer is connected to your pc and turned "on" before taking any of the steps that I mentioned.)Follow the onscreen instructions until the installation is complete, restart your PC, and you should be good to go!  I hope this helps, and Thank you for using fixya.

Power light blinking for a reason, a error.
have to work out why now and what error is showing. Try unpluging for a few minutes and restarting the printer, the startup mode can clear some errors

If it says printer is offline, it usually means your printer is not connected to the PC. Blinking printer light means there is a problem with the printer (usually paper jam) or with the ink. Check the ink cartridge. Take the cartridge out and put it back in. Make sure you also check the USB cable that goes from your printer to the PC, take it out and put it back in. Also, try to turn off the printer, take it out of the power outlet for 30 seconds and put it back in. If you have a power strip, don't use it, try plugging it directly to the power outlet on the wall and turn it back on.

Check, deleted you safety interlock film with ventilation hole. Read the installation directions cartridge. Adjust in utility installation change cartridge. Apply to service.

Yes, right click on the HP icon, located on the bottom toolbar, next to clock, and exit. The HP software is what's harrassing you. You will need to do this everytime you boot computer but it is worth it.

Try going to the printers properties page, go to the color tab, and be sure that "print in grayscale" is unchecked....keep me posted...

Normal 0 Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
