By router, I presume wireless connect between it and the printer?

Will your router support static ip addresses? If it will assign one just for the printer. Then turn the DHCP
client software off in the printer and assign it the static ip from the router. Should solve your problem.

When this happens the first thing you should do is check the connections to the LCD screen. However if it was working fine before this is most likely not necessary since they have to be connected properly to show anything. After that you would need to replace the LCD or the Logic board. If everything else is working properly then the problem is more than likely the LCD needs to be replaced.

I suspect the head has failed, try removing it and clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and the ones they mate with in the printer with Isopropyl alcohol (don't touch the head nozzles at the bottom of the cartridge), if that does not work then a new printhead or printer (depending on relative cost) is the only answer. 1. If its not under warranty, and its a HP printer, you are not going to get replacement parts, as they don't have any in Australia. You must call it a day and chuck it out. I had similar problem, contacted HP and was told the cost of replacing outways the cost of purchasing a new one.
