Check for bad connections first by plugging and unplugging all various times to remove any oxidation or corrosion. If still no go, then the anomaly is caused by the T con board.

It may be that you have a solarised picture that can be correctly restored by entering the service mode and performing a system reset. but you may have to take it to an engineer

well id ck the menu settings first (antenna not cable) and the antenna outside , also as just happened to our area , one of the broadcasters just stopped doing so , with no warning , but it was in the news paper later they had lost some funding and had no programming anylonger , so lots of folks were trying to get that channel but nope it wasn't there anylonger , wasn't there tvs fault , ck your not in the same boat .

The circuit board that controls the white back lights could be causing the problem or the lights themselves are malfunctioning. I'd look at the ballast board first.

Contact your able company.. that is the throughput by the cable.
