Hi.
If the TV loose power completely, and goes completely off, with no led on and no sign of life whatsoever, then the problem is the PSU board. Power cord and on off switch must be tested before replacing PSU.
If there is no led on, test using a different main socket, check power cord, and check fuse if the power cord is fused. There is no fuse that the user can check on TV.
If the TV goes suddenly in standby instead, that means that the main controller board detected a fault condition (eg. a wrong voltage or a short), and turned the TV in standby to prevent further damage to internal component.
In this case is said that the TV goes in protect mode (forced standby).
