Green light blinking

Unplug it for about an hour first to let it reset, if it is still bad, then you will have to open it up or take it to the repair shop. The power supply will have to be looked at first to make sure all the voltages are present and no damaged components.

No sound

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Please post back what you find.

TV shows no input service

You may have to change / adjust the settings on your tv to use cable vs over the air antenna. When power was lost, this setting may have defaulted back to factory (Air / Antenna).

If the cable tuner is damaged, you don't need to write off the tv just yet. Try connecting a VCR to the AV / Component Video jacks, and feed the cable through the VCR (use the vcr as the tuner). Take a few more steps, but you will still be able to use the tv.

I would say this would hit your pocket book at $150 respectivly if your out of warranty. But I would advise you try to follow up with manufacture to seee if this part is covered during the service life of the tv,

When i turn on my tv the green power light blinks and the tv does

There is a procedure called and Industry INIT. The reason I cannot post it is that if it is done incorrectly it can wipe the memory of your television. Also if you get a yellow screen versus a red screen versus a green screen there are different steps to peform next. To attempt and Industry INIT you would call 800-237-4277 pressing 1 for each of the prompts. If the Industry INIT fails the representative will direct you to your local service provider. If you were interested in performing the repairs on your own partstore.com has parts.

Doesnt power up light on tv just blinks green

Assuming the television is out of warranty and that you can complete the repairs yourself there is a new and a recycled power unit available for purchase from Partstore.com if that turns out to be the problem. However if the unit is in warranty you would call 800-237-4277 to get the contact information for your nearest Sharp authorized service center and bring it in for repairs. When you call a representative can transfer you to a representative that can attempt to walk you through an industrial initialization of your television and then provide service center information if not successful in or out of warranty. A blinking power light could be a loose connection or loose connection to inverter and other things in addition to what was previously stated. The pattern the indicator light is blinking in is a code that indicates what the problem is.

While playing it occassionally shuts off. It can

Hi.

If the TV loose power completely, and goes completely off, with no led on and no sign of life whatsoever, then the problem is the PSU board. Power cord and on off switch must be tested before replacing PSU.

If there is no led on, test using a different main socket, check power cord, and check fuse if the power cord is fused. There is no fuse that the user can check on TV.

If the TV goes suddenly in standby instead, that means that the main controller board detected a fault condition (eg. a wrong voltage or a short), and turned the TV in standby to prevent further damage to internal component.

In this case is said that the TV goes in protect mode (forced standby).

If you have not turned the TV back on yet, follow the troubleshooting on article below.

My television does not start up

If your TV turns back on, and fail again at random time, it can be a faulty PSU, a faulty controller board , or less frequently and inverter failing.

Here a broad description of how a technician must test the TV:

How to test an LCD TV or monitor PSU and...

Repair is suitable only for a trained person.

If your TV is going in standby at random times, that means that the TV is faulty. In that case call the manufacturer at the number listed on the owners manual to arrange the repair.

Here parts for the model listed in title: Sharp LC-32SB24U.

Disc stuck in drive

OK, usually in the front of the tray, is a small hole, using a straightened paper clip, or the like, insert this into the hole, now carefully, push it in You will feel.hear a "Click" keep pushing past this point, and the tray should pop open. But with the rest of it, well this is a classic switchmode power supply, shutting down to avoid a fire, explosion, or both. This set had developed a problem, that is so severe that the set must be shut down, This set should be removed from the Power, and in my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an Akai, Approved Service Center, this point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their local, "Head Office" Now, when you get the information you want, then you can decide as to repair of replacement. The reason we want an approved agent, is that way, all the engineers are trained on their own brand sets, they have seen almost all faults, and will get the job done quicker, and for less cost, and usually have parts on hand, also sometimes, there has been a service bulletin in issued and the repair may be subsided or even free.
