It is likely that the keyboard at the very least is defective and causing you an issue. Keyboards are very cheap to replace and a new one can be found on ebay or through a local sony store or good computer store. Not too difficult to remove and replace. If the replacement does the same thing then the keyboard/mouse controller on the motherboard is defective and the motherboard will need to be repaired or replaced

it could be caused because of hardware failure or software failure, in case of hard ware failure it would be best to call sony tech support but in case of software issue , if you remember the day it was working fine,
do a system restore to the date it was working fine, which will reset your software configuration to the date you know it was working ok, so if it was caused by software issue it will be resolved, but any programs that you installed after the restore date will be lost
