How do i clean the fan on my lenovo thinkpad?

I would take the screws off of the bottom first. Be careful not to miss any screws, as there may be some under the padding. Remove the bottom cover, and boom. There's the fan waiting to be cleaned. I suggest using a bottle of compressed air.

Lenovo t510 white screen on power up

if you have access to an external screen, attach it via the VGA port and restart the PC, if it comes up then you have a faulty inverter. Carry the machine to a recognized tech to replace inverter. Worse case scenario, you may have a faulty board.

ERROR 0210: Stuck key 7B Press

There are issues with the ThinkVantage Button at boot as it doesn't do what its suppose to. Just use the F1(BIOS Setup), F11(pre-boot/recovery area) and F12(boot device selection).

Just a reminder to practice press and release when pressing a button. We sometimes get impatient and do a key hold down for a while rather than multiple press and release.

I hope this would resolves your ERROR 0210: Stuck key

LCD backlight replacement

If the LCD screen on your IBM laptop is going dim, chances are the backlight is breaking down. The good news is that if you don't want to spend the money to have a technician replace it, you can do it yourself. There's no need to open up the main body of the computer, but you will have to get into the screen to do the work. Here's how. Power off your IBM and remove the battery. Remove the nine screws (three on each side) on the side of the screen. Once the screws are removed, the plastic bezel (screen guard) can be removed. Pop the bezel out, exposing all of the LCD screen. Pull the LCD screen gently away from the computer by the corner. Be mindful that the screen is still connected to the computer by a ribbon cable. Remove the tape over the ribbon cable where it connects to the screen and gently pull the cable to disconnect it. Turn the LCD facedown, and remove the piece of tape that holds the top metallic foil against the back of the LCD. Lift the metallic foil to expose the backlight. Remove the single screw at the end of it that holds it in place. Unclip the wire at the end of the backlight from the inverter (power source to the backlight), and remove it from the LCD. Replace it with the new backlight (available at any electronics store or online). Be sure the new backlight is compatible with your particular IBM model. Reassemble the computer reversing the order in which you took it apart. How can i change my password

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. T61 won't go past the Microsoft loading screen

Press F8 during boot, and load Safe Mode. A program may be preventing a proper startup.Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig > Startup tab and uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when you initiate.

I HAVE BAIOUS PASSWOR PROBLEM I WANT TO REMOVE THE PASS WORD

The password to change the settings in the BIOS is not stored in the CMOS (battery backed RAM). It is in an EEPROM which retains its data without power. Unfortunately there is no way to reset this data. Lenovo's service manual requires the motherboard to be replaced. There is some information on various forums on the web suggesting that if you have some eltronics knowledge and an EEPROM reader, then you can solder some wires on to the EEPROM and read the data. This is not a simplew process, however. I would try to see if you can buy a second-hand T61 to swap the motherboard out.
