My iriver stops then comes

Good morning, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time you are viewing this. What you are trying to say in your request is that your MP3 player stops playing, then comes on for a short period of time with defective music, then cuts off again. There could be a number of causes here. We can eliminate the "battery needs charging" cause because you said that the battery is already charged. But the battery itself may be defective. If that's the case, you will need to install a new battery into your device. Reply back and I will try my best to locate where you find a battery for this product. Another cause to take into consideration is the music file that you are playing. The music files that the iriver 150 supports are: MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC & ASF. The music file you that was currently playing may not be supported by this device or is corrupted. If so, you need to delete this file immediately. To delete a file, press and hold the > (directional right) button to display the Options menu. Select Delete File to delete the selected file. You can also go to your file manager and manually delete files. On the main menu screen, press the directional up or down buttons and selcet the File Manager, then press the OK button. Next, press the directional up or down buttons again to select either Internal or External Memory, whichever type of memory your file is under. If you do not know what Internal or External Memory is, Internal memory is the memory in your hard drive. External Memory is portable memory for example a Micro SD card, that can be taken out. In the file folder list, press the directional buttons to select your folder or subfolder if you have created one. Once you've done that, press and hold the > (directional right) button to confirm the deletion process. If you are still having problems, try changing the settings for the backlight or auto power. To do this, go to your main menu and select the Settings que. The select either the Display or Timer options. If you selected the Display option, select Backlight and change the time to your desired setting. If you selected the Timer option, select Auto Power and change this setting to off. If that doesn't solve your issue, reply back and and I'll see what else to do. I hope these options get your music device back up and running. If you have any questions, comments or concerns; reply back to this website. Thank you for taking the time and oppurtunity to read this solution and choose FixYa as you one-stop solution spot to answer all your problems. Thank you and have a good day, afternoon, evening or night; whatever time you are reading this.

Llites come on but no

You should first check to see if the battery is charged with a multimeter. If it is charged try taking the battery out, wait a minute or two then put it back in. This will perform a hard reset. If the screen still does not come on the unit may be defective.

Device unable to start on computer- Sony walkman NWZ-B135F

hello everyone. i encountered the same problem. after i unplugged themp3 player the screen hung/froze showing only the sony walkman logo. iused the reset feature numerous times, but no luck (initially.)

ima linux user (ubuntu 8.10) and the sony mp3 player NWZ-B135F is in factCOMPATITIBLE with the Ubuntu Linux operating system. i triedlinux suggested solution mentioned in another thread.i let the power drain completely. however after the whole "ithung/froze" incident, even linux was not able to read the usb device.it wouldn't turn on and it wouldn't charge at all. so to troubleshootthis issue i used the Windows XP prof. OS which was able to detect thethe sony mp3 player when plugged into a usb port. but mind you, the mp3player device was not appearing under "my computer"

i downloaded the FIRMWARE for NWZ-B135F found on this page below:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=NWZB135F&SelectOS=7#div_pos_30

afterrunning this program, the Windows XP prof. OS clearly detected the mp3player device and it now appeared under "my computer" as a removabledisk. (at this point, the sony mp3 player lit up and it started tocharge again) i reformatted the sony mp3 player memory to FAT and ranthe NWZ-B130_V1_01.exe (firmware) again. the system reset and itworked! i only had 20 songs so losing the files was no big deal. i wasjust glad it started to work again.

anyway, hope this helps someone. if you have questions, just message me. have a good day.

Bought micro sd card reader mp3 player from light

If you connect it then it's internal memory and any microSD card installed should show up as drives in My Computer. You can drag and drop music files into them.

If you have the model number you should be able to download instructions.
At the very worst you could download a couple and see if the picture matches yours, or the instructions work on yours.

I had one turn up, no instructions or CD at all and displaying Chinese.
The model number was on the back, and it was a standard unit, presumably tested before shipping by a Chinese user and not reset to default.
An English manual will tell you which counting from the top those incomprehensible characters mean, and it will most certainly have an English setting.
Mine had some languages on the Chinese setting and displayed in roman letters and the second one down in Hungarian was Anglo. Google Translate could help here also.

Think of it as a MP3 player, card reader and logic puzzle.
I wish you success.
