The on/off/profile button is a stiff black button located on the top of the phone. Press and hold it for 3 seconds and your phone will switch off.

If its not turning off by the above method, remove the batteries and again place them back. It'll switch off the phone.

hi, if the phone is asking for the security code when you switch it on but its not accepting the code you have then all you need to do is give me the imei number off the back of the phone under the battery and i can then give you the phones master code which will give you access to the phone and it will also remove the security code and reset it to what it was when new usually 1234, plz dont enter the wrong code more than 5 times as this will lock the phone and it will be impossible to unlock

first go to phone setting then go network option. select manual then you will see searching network. if found then select your home operator. but if not work then i suspect your antana switch or PF has troubled. then please repair or change that. it become ok. if not become ok then the way is reinstall your phone application. thanks.

well, sometimes this could be really annoying, have you tried phoning your service provider and asking them to reset your security code. but in some cases you may need to replace the handset.

That could be the result of someone trying to jail break the phone. The IMEI numer is a specific identification number for that specific phone and if changed will render the phone useless.

Question edited for clarity. So the phone was likely stolen in Australia and shipped to Sri Lanka for sale. For the technician to unlock it by playing with the IMEI, it must have been PUK Locked AKA a SIM Lock. To remove a normal customer set PIN Lock, you just do a hard reset which scrubs the phone clean and reloads the operating system with no lock. A PUK Lock can only be removed by the carrier that provided the phone. The technician tried the impossible task of removing an RSA 128 bit encryption lock by playing with the firmware and corrupted it. You have three choices 1. Give it back to the technician and tell him to fix his mistake 2. Send it to Nokia to have the firmware and IMEI reinstalled 3. Throw it away.
