This is usually a software issue on K series Sony Ericsson Handsets, try using the Sony Ericsson Update Service to Update or Re-Install the phones firmware... Its available to download from the Sony Ericsson support site if you dont already have it http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/phones/k770i?lc=en&cc=gb Remember though if your phone is unlocked, the unlock for these may have been a Flash Patch unlock so you might have to get it unlocked again afterwards...

• Check by putting other MMC into your phone jack
• If Phone jack is ok you have to Clear MMC
• You can put it in to CARD READER through PC
• and manually Format it
• You are done

PHONE SOFTWARE PROBLEM. IF YOU TRY THE MEMORY CARD IN ANY OTHER PHONE AND TRY TO FORMAT.IF IT SHOW SAME PROBLEM THE MEMORY CARD IS CORRUPTED REPLACE THE MMC ONLY.OTHERWISE YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE PHONE SOFTWARE BY SYNCH WITH UR PC.
