I surmise the credentials and preferences file for that account is corrupted at the Yahoo server. Try clicking the forgotten password link to request a new password. Changing the password may compel the e-mail server to re-write the file and possibly repair the corruption. If that doesn't work, you'll have to try to get a human at Yahoo to intervene.

Just open any of the message from match.com and at the end of the message you will see a subscription link just click on that link to unsubscribed and get rid of any further message from the mailer of MATCH.COM.

Yahoo has been experiencing a system wide problem. Many of Yahoo! Mail customers are experiencing the same problem as you.

To assist Yahoo mail customers with this problem, AOL will transfer all of your contact information and future emails from your Yahoo account to your new AOL account for the next 30 days for free. (Until Yahoo can correct the problem). You won't miss any emails from your Yahoo account.. They will be automatically forwarded to your new AOL account.

Here are the instructions:

1) Go to AOL and set up a new AOL email account. 4) (Next page) On the left hand side, look for the word, Accounts and click on it.

5) (Next Page) Look on the line beginning with, Transfer Accounts and locate the link that reads, AOL Easy Transfer and click on it.

6) (Next Page) Agree to the terms of service and click on, Get Started.

7) (Next Page) Under Copy from, enter your Yahoo email address and password.

8) Under Copy to, enter your new AOL email address and password.

9) (Next Page) Carefully Read, and select the options you need. (Click, Continue)

10) (Next Page) Click, Go to AOL Mail.

11) (Next Page) Enter the answer to your security question you created when you set up your new AOL email account. (Click, Continue)

12) (Next Page) Look at the top Left hand corner and click on, MAIL.

That's it. (Although AOL says that it may take up to 24 hours to complete the process - it usually only takes about 30 minutes.) After you receive your confirmation email, Click on your Contacts in your AOL account. When you see your Contacts from your Yahoo account there, the transfer has completed.

This isn't so much a solution then a recommendation. I will say that unfortunately there is a good chance you cannot recover them. However, if they can be recovered, Yahoo! is the only way you'll get them back, so try contacting Yahoo! Follow this link:

right click on the inbox heading that will allow you to put a new folder in the list under inbox give it a name from there you click and drag e-mails to that folder basically if you want specific folders for certain e-mails you can open and name as many folders as you want

Did you have the Caps Lock key on? Normally it is indicated by a light on the keyboard with a capital A beside it. The userid will work, but the password will fail as it is case sensitive. Good luck, Paul

When you set up your yahoo account, you would have submitted another email address for reasons like this.

For example, my alternate email address is a gmail account.

I believe you have chosen 1 type of account and now because you have done it yourmail plus account is not available you will have to go to yahoo site and search for an answer I have found that if a program works the way you want do NOT upgrade it as problems can occur and files lost

IF this is in regards to browser based email, you may have a browser setting that is clearing that cache and cookies after each session. It is a persistent cookie that keeps the client logged on. What browser are you using?

Sometimes the username is not sufficient to satisfy the log in and the full email address has to be entered @yahoo.com
