What stops running, the heat or the drum? If it's the drum, check the centrifical switch on the motor.

I have a code of "LE1" on the display, from the description on the code sheet it means thermistor open, what does that mean and how can i fix it

its a temperature sensor connected to the heating element about the size of small button. Usually straight forward to replace. If you do take the back off and replace it (maybe 2 off) make sure the back is replaced before you switch the heater back on to test it.

Newer LG front load gas clothes dryer. power

if you hear the flame light but it doesn't stay on for a long time most likely you have lint blocked up in the dryer or in the vent linepull out the lint screen filter and look down into the duct that the filter slides into,if that's blocked you can try to stick a brush down in there and pull out as much lint as you can and then get a shop vac and set it up to blow and try to blow the rest of the lint out,if this doesn't work you have to pull the front of the dryer off and clean out the duct, also vac and blow out the gas tube and the motor and vac up any lint that's in the cabinet, unplug the dryer, remove the top, then the control panel and then the front panel.put it back together and then go out side and make sure the duct is clear no cage or screen,go back inside, remove the vent line off of the back of dryer,if it's a long run to the outside stick a leaf blower into the vent line and blow it to the outside, put it back together and you should be fine.this should be done once a year with a gas dryer so you don't have any problems with parts or how it's running and most important you won't have a fire.if you need anymore help let me know.

LG Tromm dryer dryer number DLG3788W is not

Either there is a fault in the power supply to the heating coils, or the heating coils have burned out. A multimeter will come in handy at this point to check continuity across the terminals to the heating coils, and to test current supply to the coils. Be very very careful since you are dealing with 220 volts. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself, call an appliance repairman.

The high limit safety thermostat keeps tripping, turning heat off in about 30 minutes. Put new one in other day and problem persists-any ideas of cause?

I just had a dryer with the same symptoms. Here's what I found. The one I had had a bad felt strip around the drum, allowing the lint to be sucked and blown places it was never supposed to go. I had to take the machine completely apart, because the fuse was doing it's job, and tripping because of overheating. This dryer worked fine once the felt was replaced. You may find there is a buildup of lint or an air exhaust blockage somewhere you never had checked causing this problem. Remember, it could be not only in the machine, but in the exhaust system between the machine and the air outside. Be blessed.
