Batteries quit charging. installed new
check at the rear of the chair when you plug in the on-board charger the meter shoud go up to indicate charging if the meter doesn't move recheck the battery installation to make sure that the wiring is correct I had one the other day that had crossed the connectors and was getting neg voltage instead of pos and the charger or the chair won't work. If the wiring is correct and you aren't getting a charge indication on the meter I would suspect the charger If you can borrow an offboard charger you can charge your chair through the joystick charger port under the front of the joystick until you can get a new charger. I would buy an offboard if you have to pay for it yourself it will be cheaper. Hope this helps
Have just purchased a Jet 2 power chair. The top
Sandy Well could be. Hows that for an answer? It depends on the batteries and the speed setting. If the batteries are getting weak then they won't drive the chair as fast as new or good batteries. If the speed is not set to max then it won't go as fast as you like You can set the speed on the joystick. Now if the speed is set to max and you are still going slow and the batteries are new or good then it could be the program. Check with a provider(Person or Company that sells chairs) in your area and ask if they can check the programmed settings for you. If they have a PP1 programmer they should be able to easily check the settings and adjust them higher if they aren't already set there. Good Luck Hope this helps you
A few months ago, I got 2 new batteries for my
Jeff WRONG!!!!!! I would demand that the dealer give you new batteries (they should be under a six month warranty anyway) You are to NEVER repeat NEVER leave the charger or chair plugged in all the time. The most you should ever have to charge the batteries is overnite or 12 hours. Never leave the charger plugged into the chair more than 24 hours. Doing so might even void the warranty. Tell that dealer or however told you that to take a hike or at least know what they are talking about. Have them read an owners manual (if they can read) under care and use of batteries Geez it just upsets me to have people give out such bad information to their customers. Now the batteries need to be replaced and when you get new ones charge them before you use the chair then charge then everynight if you use the chair daily if you don't use it daily make sure it is fully charged when you put it up and at least once week (if idle that long). I would recommend using your chair daily for a little while to run the batteries down some and then charging overnite for the first 20 days that you have the new batteries this will break them in. It will not help to try to charge those batteries. No amount of charging will bring them back You will need to buy 2 U1 batteries if your chair is a smaller Jazzy or Jet. The heavy duty chairs take a bigger size battery Hope this helps you Check if there is a battery distributor or store in your area they will be cheaper than going to a provider that sells chairs

That's the battery charger clicking on and off. The charger doesn't run all the time while it is on charge because they are sealed batteries, and can't release the gas caused by charging, so it shuts off to let the chemical reaction slow down to reduce gas.

Charger not working plug in light stays green, but battery is not charged
I have got 3 different chargers for my scooter. It's a Tifgalop T108. The charger light would stay green on the new chargers. My old one was the only one that was charging it. While I was replacing the charging ports, I came to find out that the negative wire is in a different location on the new ports. The negative wire was on number 3 on the old ones and is in number 2 on the new ones. After changing the ports all my new chargers work fine now.
