Recharageable batteries need to be kept charged and if left uncharged for a long period they most likely no longer work. You need to replace these batteries.

If it has a distinct odor like a cat box, it likely is just 80W85 axle lube. If no distinct odor, dip a cotton swab in to see if it has a dye color- if no dye color and it is brown, 20 or 30 weight non detergent oil should be fine. If it is red like automatic transmission fluid, and smells like transmission fluid, it probably is.If unit is less than one year old double check with the vendor to see if there is a warranty issue. if it is several years old, there is no warrnty to worry about.

Re: Pride Jazzy 1103 Ultra.

When the power seat lift lowers down, there is usually a bracket that pushes a button under the seat that tells the motor the seat is lowered and the power chair is safe to operate. Sometimes the bracket can get bent and the button does not get pressed when the seat goes down. Check under the seat around the seat post for the button and make sure the bracket is connecting to it. Carefully bend it back into place if it is not hitting the button properly. If the bracket came off, it will need to be replaced.
Good luck!

You can visit this website to find answers on what the flashing trouble indicator lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the page that has the controller used on your power chair/scooter and count how many lights are flashing to diagnose the trouble. If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

Hello mmcpowers,

For the Pride Jazzy wheel chairs you can locate what you need at the Jazzy website at the following link http://www.thescooterstore.com/products/product_manuals.aspx
When on the site you will locate the chair you need and the wire diagrams are in the owners manuals. As a common problem is just a plug coming un-wired they tell you where they are and the wire configuration. If you tell me some of the other chairs you are dealing with I will try and locate the website for them as well.

Thank you for choosing FIxYa.com

I need 24 volt interstate

Well you don't need a 24 volt battery you will need 2 12 volt batteries for a total of 24 volts Contact any local Battery distributor or Interstate battery dealer. You will need 2 U1 sealed AGM or Gel cell batteries and the cost will be $175.00 to $218.00 for 2 batteries. After installing the new batteries be sure to charge before use and then charge every nite for the next 20 days. If you use the chair daily charge overnite If you don't use it daily always store fully charged and charge at least once a week Hope this helps you

Chair does not travel as

John usually the cause is that the batteries are getting weaker and need to be checked and replaced if needed The batteries will last about 2-3 years if charged correctly. But you can develop a battery that has become weaker and this affects the other battery as well. So you have to replace both batteries I have seen new batteries last only 3-6 months because of a bad battery New doesn't neccessarily good A tech should perform a load test on your batteries to determine if they need replacing Hope this helps you

On off switch lights the red yellow green readings

YY count the number of flashes ie 4 flashes pause 4 flashes pause. This will give you the error code and will tell what is wrong with your chair Check out my tip on Flash codes if you can't find them in your manual. Without fixing the problem that generated the flashing you won't be able to use the chair until the problem is fixed. If you want you could contact the provider that sold you the chair and have them troubleshoot the problem for you Hope this helps

Is the horn on my jazzy power chair 12 or 24 volt?

Bob why don't you run a small 2 wire cable from one battery to the armrest where your joystick is located and attach the new horn and a small push button switch to the joystick bracket coming from under the armrest. loosen the knob tightening the joystick bar and pull it out enough for you to attach the horn and button to it. I 'm not sure if that will work because I don't know what the new horn looks like but you can also mount the horn under the shroud near the battery and run the wire to the switch at the joystick. Good luck sounds like an good project

Hi I purchased a used jazzy 1103 for my father and

the seat post is probably rusted in the post. Try lifting the handle and twisting the seat and pulling up at the same time it can really be very hard but keep trying and maybe get some help to lift as it is being turned. I've had to use a hoist to lift it off the floor and twist the seat until it comes out. Hope this helps
