You should have what will appear to be a switch or button on the bottom rear. You will either push in and down, squeeze together and pull out, then the rod will come out to reload staples.

it does miss-fire a lot, jams and must pull out stuck staples. not very dependable I think

Almost any hardware store. It fires T52 staples in various lengths

Howdy, on that model, you withdraw the plunger and turn the stapler upside down and lay the staples on the track (on the botton of stapler, not in the back) with the points facing up. When you replace the plunger, it holds them in place. I really like the reverse stapling action on that model, easier on my wrist. Hope this helps some:)

I just purchase the powershot 9100 I can't get the trigger to work for the staples to come out. What am i not doing correctly?

With the staple exit facing toward you (don't squeeze the handle), find the small black square at the bottom (opposite end) from staple exit. Grasp both sides. Pull away from gun (not down). Chamber will open.
