I have a single handle

If the faucet was working before and then just stopped, it is the mixing valve or a clogged supply line.
turn the water off and remove the mixing valve. Turn the water on and see if you have good flow from both hot and cold ports inside the faucet.
Caution- this procedure can get messy, close the shower curtain or door.
Call Kohler and ask for a new mixing valve for free.

Place a few drops of vinegar into the screw hole and wait a little bit. Try removing the handle again, sounds like it is just stuck on the cartridge stem. The handle should come off first, and then the bonnet. Here's the parts breakdown for your faucet from Kohler.

Hi,
There is a loose washer in the faucet...this flaps as the water goes through it and makes the vibration...
You either need to replace the faucet or the cartridge (washer) in the faucet that valves the water...
This will stop that vibration and hammering sound

IM ROUGHING IN PLUMBING FOR A SHOWER TOILET AND

always replace cast iron if its not a problem to do so, especially if it looks rough or is leaking or rusting. there are simple special black neoprene boots used to connect cast iron to pvc and do not require anything but a screwdriver, no slovents or sealers are required. always check for leaks if you make an underground connection before you cement the spot back up. its better to use gravel to fill this area in if your particular situation will allow.

I would definitely try adding washers from under the sink. Has it been caulked? Caulking will help to fasten the faucet to the counter.

Kohler bathtub drain seems to be disconnected from

Okay, remove 2 phillips head screws at lever handle/overflow.

Pull firmly with much effort and bowing the connecting rod a bit.

Up will come a heavy duty spring on the end of the rod.(prolly a big slimly hair ball too!)

Hope you get the spring, cause that's what works the drain stop.

If spring doesn't come out you'll have to "fish" it out.

Clean everything up real good and flush drain good also now.

The "Secret" now is to put the Lever, rod and spring assembly back in and replace screws and get the lever flipped to the left BEFORE you put the Drain Stop in.
