2. Rotate blade clamp collar (the knurled diamond pattern knob just at the back of where the blade goes) to release position.

3. Insert blade shank from the front.
4. Rotate blade clamp collar to lock blade into position.

To install blade into saw:
1. Loosen set screw.
2. Insert blade shank from the front between the reciprocating shaft and the blade clamp.
Locate hole in blade over pin on reciprocating shaft.
3. Tighten set screw. If the blade should break off and the shank does not come out of the clamp,
be sure the set screw is loose and eject the shank with a nail or pointed object.

Hi,

There is a small screw on the right side by the shoe assembly that should allow you to remove it so you can get to the piece broken off. There is also a C-clip that you might have to remove also.

First, do you have the right style of blade?

I have found with mine that after you turn the part and pinch the spring together, it must be pinched all the way open or the blade won't go in.

The blade clamp collar is a spring loaded knob of sorts that holds the blade in place. If you are not able to pull the blade shaft out of the saw to get at it, plug the saw in and hit the on/off trigger a few times to get the shaft and knob out of the body of the saw. Once you can get at the knob it should be easy to turn it and insert a new blade. Let me know if you have problems.

The battery is likely to be fine, but what about the electric motor in the saw, in rice as well? The only thing that tends to get damaged is electronic board components. Rice only works well if it was warmed first, silica gel packs are better. A couple of days should be good, but my advice it open it up straight away and dry with a hairdryer or heat gun.
