Echo gas weedeater. Starts, runs until heats up - maybe five minutes - then won't start again.

Classic sign of coil failure. Run it until it cuts off then test the coil. Most likely 0 resistance, complete open circuit. This is common, coil can't be repaired, only replaced. It is a simple fix, and echo trimmers I believe are worth the cost of coil to repair. Plenty of youtube videos on how to do this repair.

I have a newer 58v Echo trimmer. Worked fine last season, but when I use it now it runs for a few seconds and then completes shuts down. If I try again, it runs for a few seconds and stops again.

This appears to be a good news problem. There is an easy fix/work around! Consumer reports found the same problem that you have discovered. Holding down the check battery switch allows the unit to operate. Read the link around the sixth paragraph the story is told. Echo Trimmer Can Be Tricky to Start "Our testers discovered the fix by chance. Pressing the check battery button, a last-ditch attempt to get the trimmer working, made all the difference. While this button ordinarily indicates the battery's charge status, in this case it also served to keep the battery from switching into protection mode and cutting off power to the motor. The next time you fully charge the battery, however, the problem can reoccur." Hope this has helped?

So I replaced the carburetor, air and fuel filter, fuel lines, ignition coil, flywheel, carburetor gasket and clean the screen on the muffler, new spark plug and my Echo CS-400 chainsaw won't start

Air fuel and gas... It needs all of these Are the crankshaft seals any good ??? This causes an air leak, leading to the engine not being able to draw in the air/fuel mixture Check this by spraying carb cleaner into carb. Does it start ??? Did you check for spark ??? Did you set the coil gap ??? .010 Did you check compression ??? Someone mentioned 100psi. Close but most wont run under 90psi. Others need 120psi. Echo's will run under 90psi but not much lower Did you remove the muffler and check the exhaust side of the piston ??? Scoring will keep it from running but I have seen them run, albeit poorly but still run with major scoring. Is the spark arrestor still installed ??? Is it plugged ??? Just some of the tests I perform since I am an Echo/Shindaiwa Tech

Here's a good one. Spark & gas, won't start.

The most common cause is a wood chip stuck in the inlet or exhaust valve. Check the compression.

Why does my echo srm 230 only stay idling when I have it turned with the carburetor facing the ground and if I hold it right it bogs out

Check the fuel lines. Make sure the pickup tube (line with the fuel filter) has not fractured.

I don't know what fuel my leaf blower needs.

Almost every leaf blower uses gasoline mixed with 2-cycle mixing oil. Unless you have a larger, commercial model with a separate oil tank, you'll need to purchase mixing oil and mix it with your fuel. You can find mixing oil at PartsBuggy.com.

I have an Echo TC-210 that will start and run. The problem is when I stop for whatever reason and attempt to restart, it won't start for hours. The local shop says he adjusts the carb, but I know its not that, because when it runs, it runs great. Any suggestions?

Next time it won't start, try removing fuel cap, press the fuel purge bulb a few times and put fuel cap back on.

It it then starts, the fuel tank vent needs replaced.

Replace the vent and readjusted carb once more.

I have echo pb 500t blower where can i find a tool to remove the 4 bo!ts holding the head on ?

There is no special tool. The bolts are hex heads are require a hex tool to remove them. These can be found at any auto parts or home improvement store. Also, just an FYI, the head and cylinder are on piece on this model.

How do I reattach the throttle linkage on an echo es-210 leaf blower

This is a year late, but you will need to disassemble the unit and loosen the two screws under the air filter that hold down the carburetor so it can be moved out a little to give access to the throttle. The longer straight part of the linkage fastens to the orange handle through the side that is notched. The other end connects to the throttle on the carburetor. I'm guessing it came loose while you were replacing the fuel line. You'll need a set of star drives, phillips and flat head screwdrivers and a socket wrench for the spark plug.

I have a echo PB 500T backpack blower I can get it to run great for 20 to 30 minutes but then it bogs down and quits it won't restart unless I pour gas into the cylinder runs a while and boys down

Could be fuel tank not venting properly. Run until the symptoms repeat then loosen fuel cap. If it starts and runs ok then likely the vent (cap?) Is plugged.

Otherwise it's likely a crankcase leak.

Echo cs305 chainsaw carb adjustment screws will only 1/2 turn either direction is this normal

Yes, the air fuel mix screws have adjustment limiter caps to prevent the typical end consumer from maladjusting the carburetor and ruining the engine.

I have a echo pb 500t blower I just replaced the carburator but it is not getting the fuel to the cylinder I can spray fuel in and it runs any ideas what to try?

Press the primer bulb several times. If no fuel in bulb, identify the fuel line that connects to fuel filter inside of the tank. Verify filter is connected and no cracks in line.

Then disconnect the other fuel line (fuel return) at the carb. Pump the primer several times. If still no fuel move the fuel line at the carb to the other port. Leave other line off (for now). Pump primer several times. If fuel pumps, fuel lines were connected wrong. Connect return line... start.

Hello i have an echo backpack blower PB 500T was running fine then it just up and quits running i cked spark no spark whats the best way of checking the coil and what should the readings be any help would be much appreciated thank you

Secondary winding (spark plug wire) to fame 2k to 8k ohms. If infinity (open), then look for break in wire or boot, else internal secondary winding has failed.

This an ignition module so primary winding is not accessible. Check ignition kill wire. Disconnect kill wire at module and measure continuity of kill wire to engine frame. With Run/Stop switch in STOP position it should read zero ohms (a short). In RUN position it should read infinite ohms (open).
