This should slide up without having to remove the rear wheel assemble but the wheels themselves may have to come off. The rear wheels have an end cap that pop off and can be pulled right off.

Hi Bill, If you turn it upside down you will see the strimmer head. You should be able to remove the protective cover which will allow access to the string cassette. The rest is self evident.

The diameter of the Black&Decker GH400 edge guide is 1/8". I know because I have the same problem and a small piece left from the original. Trying to find a new one is quite the quest.

make sure that you pull both triggers to start it one will be the trigger for the right hand and the other will be in the handle for the left hand it is a safety combination so that you cannot start it one handed and so cut a finger off

Either the hose connection or the pump connection threads are stripped and will need to be replaced.

Have you checked what the user manual says? That's usually a good place to start. It's possible that the flashing red light is just indicating that charging is taking place and therefore there isn't a problem.

Try putting fresh gas, new plug a must and even spray a little starter fluid in carb intake.
