KA4iup, thanks for the answer but that is not what I need. On page 40 of Pride jet 3 ultra manual, the picture shows a quick disconnect cable. I need to know how to pull that apart without damaging

The quick disconnect normally has a tab that when pushed will allow the connectors to come apart. You will have to look. The connectors normally are white nylon, but they could be any color. It should be there if the manual is correct for your chair. Best I can do without seeing a picture or the chair itself.

We have a pride jet 3 power chair that shows full charge but only works for a few minutes also the speed indicator lights below the charge indicator blinks and I do not remember this happening before

Sounds like a battery issue. Also with the speed indicator is it blinking or ripples from side to side?

I get 9 flashes which the manual tells me that there is a loose wire connection to the motors. How can i troubleshoot or fix?

It is typically the cable leading from the joystick to the control unit. Disconnect it and reconnect it. Check the cable for any cuts or pinches that could cause a short. There are a number of issues that creates the 9 flashes. The code just means there is a disconnect somewhere. If you can take the chair to a DME company who can place a programmer on it to read the fault codes, it could help locate the issue.

Clicking noise on jet3 chair about every 5 feet tech guy said may need grease is there a plug on top for grease

Hi sounds like a gearbox issue, could be dry but then ask the question why every five feet, think of the gears and the amount of movement required, could be a tooth missing or damaged, is it possible to get the wheelchair on it's side to find out what motor is clicking ? Please NOTE: take care here.... i don't suggest for one minute you do this alone, and powering the scooter while on it's side must be done with care.... just jack one side up somehow and power the chair then do the other side .... once again taking extreme care when carrying this out... you will need help... I'm borrowing a Jet 3

The batteries need charging and when you plug in the charger and the power is on the lights wil flash indicating that the charger is plugged in. Now look at the rear of the chair near where the charger cord plugs into the chair and you should see a voltmeter. With the charger plugged in the voltmeter will indicate about 5-6 amps and after charging overnight the voltmeter should be reading 0 amps. If when you plug in the charger cord and the voltmeter indicates 0 amps then I would suspect that the charger is not working or that the fuse is blown in the charger circuit. The only way to see if the batteries charge would be to borrow or find an offboard charger that will plug into the charger port located under the front of the joystick and after charging for 10-12 hours see if the battery level lights show full charge Hope this helps

Pride JET 3 Ultra power wheelchair. Problem:

check the motor brushes if they are 1/4 inch or less replace them. Next, after driving the chair for a while check the motor casing near the brake assemblies on the rear of each motor if the casing is hot then you have a sticking brake pad or pads and this can cause the excess battery drain. If you have sticking brake or brakes unfortunately the whole motor assembly will have to be changed Hope this helps

Jet 3 will not turn on but when you plug charger

the batteries are not charged and need to be replaced. The reason you have lights is because the charger is supplying power to the chair and the chair will not move when the charger is plugged in because of the inhibit function. Replace the batteries and make sure you charge before use Hope this helps
