Fuel must be less that 30 days old! Air filter OK? oil level OK? Is the shut off cable streteched, If it is then is makes contact and will not allow the engine to start.

If the carb is new, then make sure the fuel is fresh- LESS THAN 30 DAYS OLD!!! Is the plug good? Air filter OK? Good oil in the engine? Make sure that the shut off cable hasn't stretched. It may make contact and shut off the engine.

Does it have a primer bulb? If so, push it 3X.

Go to Briggs & Stratton website, and look up your engine.

I prefer Mobil 1 10-30W syn oil

rebuild carberator

no crank shafts are different lengths

If its a Briggs and Stratton sprint or classic etc with the plastic carb that's screwed to the fuel tank then there's a good chance the diaphragm needs replacibg . it could just be that there is a lot if dirt blocking the pick up pipe but to clean it you will need to remove carb from tank to blow it out so for a very small amount of money you may aswell fit a new diaphragm while the carb is off. Drain the fuel tank and blow it out while carb is off to remove any dirt. Its an easy diy job that only takes 15 mins from start to finish, does help if you have an air line tho!!!

i think tour carb has come loose or intake pipe broke tighten up check pipe for cracks
