Yard machine 21" 6.5 does not catch all clipping
Did you buy this mower from a dealer and built up and checked over or did you buy it in a box and put it together yourself? i suspect you probably bought it in a box and put it together yourself as it sounds as though the engine isnt reving high enough. Briggs and stratton engines are well known to come out of the box with the engines reving much lower than they should be. you will need to check and adjust the high speed engine revs to approx 2900-3100 rpm
Starts fine but quits when
do you mean it cuts out when the drive is engaged? if so check the drive belt isnt stuck or the gearbox hasnt seized
Replace Cord
Take the cover off the top of the motor witch I think it is like 5 or 6 10 mm bolts take them out and u should have pull starter in that. So wind the the spring till its pretty tight and the cord u should have already put the handle on feed the other end of the rope thru the wound tight spring and put it thru the hole on the plastic piece in the center that u wound up and tie a double knot and then slowly let it wind it back in. if it stops before all the string goes in there is either to much string or u didnt wind it enough before u put the string in it. It should take like three foot of rope if the handle is at the motor but if the handgrip is up the handle u will need like 9 feet of rope
Travelling with a push mower in the car
not sure what you are asking
but if you want to put mower in car drain gas or run it all out
try to keep it as flat as possible, the oil will go into cylinder if you dont
remove from car pull the spark plug pull cord a couple times replace plug and gas
No spark
I would first look to make sure the spark plug is not wet. Dry the end of the plug and the cap; a q-tip should work just fine. At this time look to make sure neither end is rusty. In the future my dad keeps a large pail inverted over the motor of his mower and leaves it out all winter (in the snow and rain). He has done this for many years.
