Stops running has error LE

Hi,

The first thing to check with an LE error on an LG dishwasher is the drain hose. Start at the point where the drain hose connects to the drain pipe or garbage disposal. Make certain that the hose rises as high as it can. That will form a high point that will prevent the natural siphon effect from draining the water before it should.
Also check for any obstruction preventing the motor shaft from turning. You will have to remove the lower spray arm and sump cover. The round white impeller can be turned by hand. To remove that, use the phillips head screw in the center of it has a left hand thread, so needs to be turned clockwise to remove. Then, you will be able to get further down, to the metal cutter bar which may have a twist tie dental floss wraped around it. If you dind everything fine, and motor shaft turns by hand, you probably have a bad motor. Permanent magnets in motor can come loose, chip, crack, or the internal Hall sensor can be bad. To replace it, the dishwasher has to be laid on it's side so you can easily change it from the bottom side now.

Thank you !!

Question regarding my lg dishwasher circuit board

Hello. If all of the damage is with the circuit board itself, replace the circuit board. If there is damage where you need to plug in the circuit board you will have to call a large appliance repair shop as some soldering will be required. Good luck with it. Hope this helps you. Joe

780 ST with 1E error code

Hi,

This is a Common Problem on LG Dishwasher. It is Actually Error ' IE '.

This is a common fault if your drain hose or the drain pipework after it is blocked by tissues or fluff etc remove the drain hose from the vertical drain pipe or u-bend connection and check that all are free of obstructions. Also a lot of machines have a filter located at the bottom of the machine either behind a flap at the front or located near the pump at (usually) the back of the machine underneath. This can be got at by either removing the back panel if there is one or tilting the machine forward to access it from underneath chock the drum with wood to avoid drum suspension damage or re- attach the drum bolts which were removed when the machine was delivered if you still have them. The pump will have a rubber hose attached before it and the pump is connected to the machine end of the drain hose, often the rubber hose is large bore and incorporates a hard plastic filter designed to trap buttons coins etc before entering the pump and damaging the impeller blades, remove any debris. In essence you are making sure the the whole drainage route from the drum to the final drain point is clear and free flowing.

If the Problem Persists, it could be the board but you will need to check to see if the electronic water solenoid is getting 120V or not. If it's not then you have a bad control board. If it is then either your valve isn't getting water or the solenoid is bad.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

LG dishwasher ld14aw2 error

Did the owner of the LG LD-14aw2 that was giving the OE error get the problem resolved?
With an OE (Drain Error), it means that the dishwasher is not fully drained out in spite of 5 min. drain operation. First step of the trace the entire path of the drain hose to the sink drain. Be certain that ther is no blockage in any of it.
It that does not resolve the problem, remove the lower spray arm and the screws that hold the sump area down. Open up the area and inspect everywhere for debris that could be blocking the drain area.
Next step would be to replace the drain motor.
With the LG dishwasher that is giving an IE error: Double check that the water valve supplying the dishwasher is fully open. Next, with the water turned off, open the connection between the inlet pipe (hot water) and the dishwasher inlet valve. Clean the screen of all debris/minerals that often build up there.
If problems continue, check and replace the inlet valve.
Thanks for reporting back what you have found. Good Luck!

Checking in to see if your resolved your problem already.
Having the wiring harness melt is, of course, serious and potentially dangerous. Recommend you contact LG service with the model & serial # and firmly but politely require action from their service department.
Good Luck!

Odor, poor drying, cold water

Can you confirm that you own an LG LDF7810 dishwasher?
The symptom you describe is a classic symptom of a failed heating element but the LG dishwasher ~should~ report an error code.

Two days ago my LG dishwasher model lDF 7810BB

Check for voltage with a multimeter at the wires very near the front, just behind the kick plate. Follow the incoming electrical wire in and remove the little plate the covers the wires/wire nuts. I have seen wires that appear to be connected properly but the circuit is open.
Or, even though the circuit breaker is not switched open, the circuit itself, supplied to the front of the dishwasher is not live/hot.
Good Luck!

LG Dishwasher LDF7810 SST : tE Error (thermal error?)

Recommend that you closely check the water temp of incoming water. There is an error in some service manuals and if the inlet water temp is greater than 149 degrees (F) (some manuals incorrectly say 194 degrees), you could get an imediate tE error.
If that does not solve the problem:
_recheck_ the electric resistance of Thermistor. (11~14k Ohms at 77 degrees (F) )
Good Luck!

PF indication

You are having a power issue with the plug outlet or the junction box at the bottom right of the dishwasher.  To be sure, run an extension cord and use a different outlet in the kitchen.  If after a couple of loads, the PF problem doesn't come back, have the outlet checked.  If it does, you will need a qualified LG tech to come out and see what's going on.

Doesnt dry dishes, top rack not clean, has been serviced 3 times

If you have checked everything that was mentioned (and none of them are the issue) then either the heater inside the unit is not coming on during the wash and rinse cycles and/or the fan motor inside the door is not coming on during the dry cycle. A technician can easily check this out with the correct tools and by putting the unit into test mode.

As for the top rack dishes being dirty and there being soap left in the dispenser, this sounds like wash motor is either weak or the vario motor is not switching between the upper and lower spray nozzles. The sump assembly should be replaced for this issue.

Doesnt dry dishes

The heater on this unit only comes on twice, once in the wash cycle, and again in the Sanitary rinse. During the drying cycle all that happens is a vent opens and a fan comes on. The fan removes the hot moist air from the unit and the dishes dry off. If your water is not hot enough, this is why your dishes are still wet. Rinse aid also helps to sheen off the excess water as well.
