WHY DID MY MICROWAVE OVEN
Hi,
Actually you don't need to replace the microwave, you just need to replace the carboard piece or "wave guide" and replace the magnetron inside the microwave behind the cardboard piece. The magnetron will commonly arc out to the wave guide if the wave guide gets something that splatters on it. The repair isn't cheap because the magnetron costs about $200 and the wave guide is another $30 or so, but if you replace both these parts you should be good to go again.
The magnetron usually have 5 years warranty, however you need to speak with manufacturer itself for the same.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

My new LG solardome MA3884vc overheats melamine plate @30 seconds
If your LG Solardome microwave oven is overheating a melamine plate within 30 seconds, there could be a few potential issues at play:
- Power Settings: Check to see if the power settings on your microwave are too high. If it's set to a high power level, it can cause certain materials, like melamine, to overheat quickly. Try reducing the power level and see if that helps.
- Plate Material: Melamine plates are not suitable for use in microwave ovens as they can overheat and potentially release harmful chemicals into your food. It's recommended to use microwave-safe dishes made of glass, ceramic, or microwave-safe plastic.
- Microwave Performance: If the microwave is consistently overheating items within such a short time frame, it might indicate a malfunction. In this case, it's best to contact LG customer support or a certified technician to inspect and repair the microwave.
- Placement and Usage: Ensure that the plate is placed centrally on the turntable and not touching the sides of the microwave. Also, avoid using the microwave for extended periods without interruption, as this can cause overheating.
- Testing with Different Materials: Try using a microwave-safe ceramic or glass plate to see if the issue persists. If other materials heat up quickly as well, it could indicate a problem with the microwave itself.

Take into an LG Service centre for repair. They are sealed by security screws and are dangerous inside. You won't be able to get parts.. If it is a counter top microwave and cost $60, just buy a new one as they are a disposable item.
