You may have a switch problem in the handle or the little voltage box may be burnt out. That'll be a little feature creature about 1 inch square and one corner is angled and it has four little legs on it, One of those legs is opposite to the other three. You may have to replace that. But make sure you have 120 volts going to the motor before you purchase anything. Be very careful how you remove the wires from that little box. Mark them with a little drawing if you have to and make sure you put the proper colors back where you took them from. Good luck

Check to see if threads on bolt or in hole where bolt fits are stripped. Also some mowers have wingnut on opposite side of bolt. Be sure it isn't missing.

Have you checked that the vacuum tube is secure? There will be a safety switch that the vacuum tube engages with so that it can only be used when the pipe is secured to prevent injury.

The chain might be on backward.

Your trigger might have gone bad. Take your handle apart,and check to see if you have power to the switch,you can use a jumper wire to bypass the switch to see if it starts.
