Need to know what buttons your topside control has... depending on the model, some have a mode button which you press and release and then immediately press the temp up or down, to select SL for sleep (no heat), ST for standard (heat as needed) or EC for Economy (only heat during filtration). If the mode button is not present, and you have a single temp button and light button, try pressing and releasing temp and then immediately pressing light button, repeat until choice appears, then wait, it will hold last displayed mode.

Either the spa is incorrectly wired or one of the fuses is blown in the spa pack. Typically this is due to your electrician wiring the spa incorrectly and blowing the fuse on accident.

Other Heating Modes are Standard, Standard in Economy, and Sleep Modes.Ecn or Ec is ON Solid (Not Flashing):The Current Water Temperature is "Unknown" (- - - or - -) while in Economy or Sleep Mode.Between Filter Cycles, while in the Economy or Sleep Heating Modes, the Pump has not turned ON and the Last Water Temperature is not Current. To read the Current Water Temperature, either Change to Standard Heating Mode or turn On the Heating Related Pump, and wait at least 2 Minutes.

Located behind the access panel there is a grey box that is the spa pack. Open that up with the 2 screws on the top of the pack. There is a small glass fuse on the circuit board. One of those fuses is most likely blown. If that is not the culprit you need a new topside control. More than likely it's the fuse.

If the pressure switch is jumped properly and you still are not getting a call for heat, then you are having a problem with the circuit board and it most likely is going to need to be replaced.

If the heat light is coming on but no voltage is going to the heater, this would also indicate a bad board.

If the system is the Jacuzzi 52221-05 system mentioned in the subject header, there could be a stuck relay causing the problem and you might need to get a spa technician out to assist you in repairing the problem. However...

Provide a model number off of the Balboa control. I will advice you get a technician to come to your house and take a look at it, since you are sure of the position or status of the Balboa jacuzzi, it will be better you get someone, a professional to help take a look at it, this is not (DIY) do it yourself as you can see.

This is probally a bad motor, the sound you hear is the motor trying to start but when it can't the breaker trips. If it takes a start capacitor it may be this rather than a motor but you will have to pull the motor to see. It may also be a clog in the pump but the motor sounds like the problem.

No there is no reset button for the keypad display. The only way to reset it to switch off the power for a short while and then turn it on again.

Your fault will either be with the keypad connection on the PCB within the spa pack. Or more likely a problem with either the PCB or keypad.

Your best option is to get a spa tech/engineer out to investigate the problem.

EC stands for Economy. Change the mode until you reach ST and then it will stop flashing and function as normal.

Economy mode only allows the heater to function when the hot tub is on its filtration cycle.

by law a heater is not allowed to go any higher than 106. The nitrogen bulb that reads the temp of the water will have a two degree varence in it so it is factory set at 104 in case the varence goes over. yours is running low and they cannot be adjusted or all libality will be on the man that adjusts it. If you replace the thermostat you may get one that runs to the high side, but more often than not atmosphereic pressure will rule this and any new one will run about the same.Sorry but 103 is probally all you will get out of it.
