Makes noise does not pump

If the pump spins but does not pump water, most likely you have an air lock.Try priming the pump with water or remove the air lock at the pump by removing the cover off the filter basket that is next to the pump.

The pump got very hot and it hummed when i turned

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

It could be the pump is bound up but it is more likely the motor is failing. It may be a small part such as the capacitor or the starting switch, but could also be more severe such as the winding itself. You will also want to examine the shaft where it passes thru the pump and motor and look for signs of rust from a pump seal leak. Start with the capacitor. Use a digital multi-meter (DMM), preferably with a capacitor setting, or an analog meter set for Ohms. With an analog, you should see the needle deflect as if testing a closed circuit then it will slowly drop to 0 if the capacitor is good. If it doesn't move or moves and stays to the side showing a closed circuit the capacitor is bad. If you notice a burn hole near the terminals on the end of the capacitor do not bother to test it. If you do not have access to a meter you can try grounding the posts together with a screwdriver to see if they arc although It is not a very reliable test method. Be sure you are holding on to an insulated handle for the tool you use to short the terminals together or you can get a good poke. If you are not familiar with testing these parts your best bet would be a local electric motor repair shop to see if the motor can be repaired or if it would need to be replaced. They should also be able to ensure there is no pump damage. If you wish to continue to try to repair it yourself please comment with any questions you have as you work thru the pump and motor.

My motor just humms and will not turn. Pump turns

I'd replace the start capacitor on this pump, I believe. Be careful with this kind of electrical device: they store power and will kick you and hard if not wairy,

Motor shuts off after 30 seconds looks like it is

More than likely the motor is overheating or at least the thermal overload thinks it is. The thermal overload could be bad but if the motor has burnt windings then it probably is pulling too many amps which will cause the overload. Sounds like you need a service call or take the motor to a motor shop.

MY EMERSON POOL MOTOR MODEL K63CXERL-4778 BURNED OUT. WHERE CAN I GET A NEW ONE?

Is the front of the motor where it connects to the pump round or squared with "ears " at the corners where the bolts are? Also, it is a 1HP correct? If it's round, any 56J c-flange motor will work and if it's squared, a 56Y is the replacement. I order most of my replacement motors from Poolsupplyunlimited.com because they have great pricing and additional warranties that cover far past the manufacturers 1 year warranty.

Emerson Hi-efficiency1081Pool mtr.EUSQ 1202 mod T55CXCJK-1345 for sprinkler 2.0 hp. Blown internal seal

the seals are replaceable/ the motor is a C faced motor it is quite possible water got into motor. Mechanical seals should not be replaced by homeowners, they want to to touch seal faces and this will destroy seal. Look locally for business that install water pumps and let them handle it. The motor will need to be rebuilt so check price and compare to new motor around $250. If the rebuild is half or greater replace with complete new unit.

How to replace pump seal on hot tub with emerson 1081 motor and gasket replacement on 2 inch

Emerson is the motor manufacturer. 1081 is the swimming pool duty motor designation. In other words all pool pump motor manufacturers have a 1081 motor. The mechanical shaft seal is going to be a part of the actual Pool pump itself. The seal is between the seal plate and the impeller. If motor is extremely noisy, then the leak allowed water to get into bearings and cause damage. If the motor is really noisy, or the shaft doesnt spin freely, then you may have damaged motor bearings. The pump manufacturer can usually be identified by markings on parts of pump ( in front of motor ).

Where can I find a diagram to fix a pump K55MYGRD-8367

this can be a hard pump to service. but you can remove the front pump housing and see if you can remove the impeller by hand, the back of the motor will have a screwdriver slot in the shaft to hold the rotor still while attempting to unscrew the impeller. after removing impeller you will need to remove the 4 thru bolts this will allow you access to the ceramic portion of the shaft seal assembly. replace all needed parts and reassemble. never run pumps dry always prime the pump with water. doing this job can save you a bunch of money and usually cost about $150 at my shop. How hard is it to change the motor out in an Emerson pool pump model k63cxese4793 (Challenger Pyrex triton)

NOT tat bad, (first x2) shut breaker off next take off the stainless steel band, pull motor and seal plate back from plumbing portion use wrench on back of the shaft of the motor, impeller screws off to the left, take out 4 9/16 bolts that attach the motor to the seal plate, give seal plate a tug and it should separate from the motor. use new seals especially the shaft seal (the one w/the spring in it) and put it back together. tap on the SS band this allows it to evenly pull up around the tank body lastly FILL PUMP (prime) with water. or search for your LOCAL POOL PUMP MOTOR REPAIR GUY. and ask about installing the motor on the seal plate. I charge $20 and it includes the shaft seal (most pumps) greasy127-5wza5llwn2qwnlqvdjcvdeqf-4-0.jpg

Have Jacuzzi 350 hot tub that we have taken out twice now for repairs at a motor repair shop. The motor does not consistently start up. Will get a hum and need to spin the motor to get it started.

these are hard Motors to fix and need an experienced mechanic, centrifugal switches can have the wrong springs or spin on the shaft, capacitorS can be weak or faulty causing runability issues. When I have one of these I KNOW what to look for and can simulate a load this helps keep customers happy and avoid warranty work. It could be a dirty start switch, and that's a free repair at my shop. as it only takes a few seconds to diagnose/fix.
