YOUR BALLBEARING where the disk is on mounted is the right bearing that have the problem for shure it is full of dust or completely dry it will not turn anymore SIMPLY TO CONTROL IF YOU MOVE YOUR DISK NOW ON YOUR MACHINE YOUR ARMATURE TURNS DIRECTLY WITH THE DISK thats not good the armature must stand still , replace the ballbearing or remove it and open it with a very little sharp screwdriver on the both sides solvent it out try to turn the bearing carefully until its turns without problems dry it or blow it out with a compressor and if its dry lubricate with ballbearing grease close it again and mount it again

have you tried holding it with a vise..

not sure what type of lub to use, but teflon spray shouldn't hurt anything

Question edited for clarity. Question moved from Cars and Trucks. The manual doesn't say it has a left hand thread, so anti-clockwise should remove it. So the hole in the middle of the s*c*r3w that should have 8 flat is completely circular. The way to remove would be with a s*c*r3w extractor, and it may even bite in the hole you have with no further drilling. Yes the bearing of the disk or clean it only by remove the sites with a little sharp screwdriver solvent it clean blow it out and re grease it close it again on the sites and mount again .

Are you removing the plate from the top (4screws) or trying from the bottom. It appears that the eccentric is a loose press fit. I am looking at a breakdown but it is not really all that clear. I would suggest going to Metabotools.com and under downloads type in your model number which is 600358-42, the 6 is already in place so what I did is add a 1 to the end of it and found the tool. Let me know but did you also check the clamps for the reason. Usually the platen is sold as an assembly.

What width staples go in this gun ?

I have a box of T50 staples here labeled 5/16 , 8mm, but they are too narrow when dropped in to the channel in the stapler.
