How do you tell if you are getting spark
to check spark remove spark plug then plug it on the plug wire hold the plug against the metal part of the machine so you can see the gap and look for the spark when you pull it dont have to pull to hard if no spark to confirm hold your finger at the end of the plug and pull easy again if you feel a small bite you got spark dont worry it wont hurt just a little bite to it no biggie if you feel nothing at all then you have no spark for sure.Howie

Hello ben_brumett:
On My Homelite Blower I Simply Set the Throttle Lock. Pull Out the Choke (on the other I Move a Lever) and Turn on the Switch. Now Pull Until it Starts or Attempts to Start. Remove the Choke and Allow it to Warm Up for 2 or 3 Minutes.

Husqvarna 145BT gas blower with a gas leak
I own the 145BT.
Mine will leak when one of the two tubes (one black and one yellow in the picture) that come out of the gas tank pull out. I find this is usually when someone hits them when priming the carburetor, just before starting it. I just push either the black or yellow tube back into the black rubber gasket on top of the fuel tank. The gasket is pretty tight so it sometimes takes a bit of effort.
More than once I had quite a bit of gas on my clothes by not making sure they were pushed in completely, before putting it on my back to start blowing.
The tubes should probably be a bit longer -or may have shrank a bit over time.
Yard broom leaf blower will not stay running I
It seems that the carb is not getting fuel. It could be a cracked fuel line. The fuel priming bulb could also be cracked/dry rotted. Possibly the fuel pump in the carb is bad. The carb is rather intricate and not something anyone without training should try to repair. The overhaul kit will cost $15 to $20. I suggest you take the blower to a repair shop.
