Five beeps? Maybe it's not the same as my Celebrity XL8 but my instruction manual talks of a 1+4 beep warning meaning low battery charge. It also suggests checking that the wiring harness connectors are all fully connected - that would include the battery terminals of course. If your hubby managed to do a wheelie this sounds a strong possibility if the batteries were dislodged. Look to see if something is jammed in the framework of the chair.

Either go to a pride dealer and get the proper job switch or look on eBay or Maplin for a similar. Check current rating of switch. Make sure you disconnect the batteries before attempting this job.

hi Kelly, please count the number of times it flashes then there be a pause and it will repeat. If the flashes are continuous never pause then that the controller telling you the batteries are getting low. Regards Rob

hi John, have the brushes been checked making sure they are not sticking inside the motor brush holder, At worse it could be the wigwag pot, try moving the wigwag lever in the upwards or downwards direction as you go forward , be gentle to see whether that improves things, if it does , you require a new throttle pot. hi, When you first start to go forward you should hear a clicking sound and once again when you stop, its the magnetic brake releasing, it stops you rolling on hills etc once you stop. regards Rob

fuse page 22 fault code 36 Just a thought, I know nothing about your cart but in cars when the battery voltage is getting low newer cars start cutting unnecessary voltage. You say your battery is charged but how good is it if the battery is charged but low could the lights be a computer way of saving voltage. The manual link is below maybe it will help.
