Air preassure in victory scooter

Most electric mobility scooters with inflatable tires require a tire pressure of 30-35 psi (be sure to check the manual of your scooter for the correct tire pressure). Do not allow the tires to become under-inflated or over-inflated. Under-inflated tires could make the scooter unstable and over-inflated tires can burst under pressure. Also, you should manually inspect the tires periodically to make sure they haven't taken any serious damage that could lead to a flat.

Squeeking

That is strange because both rear wheels as they are connected directly to the trans-axle.I would block up the rear of the scooter so the rear wheels are off the floor, run the scooter, does it still squeak. If it does still squeak its probably the braking mechanism or the freewheel mechanism. I use allot of silicon spray in this area. I use my scooter outside allot, moisture gets into this area and can cause problems. I use pure silicon spray. WARNING; do not use WD-40, it will dissolve some plastics. Also wd40 gets sticky after awhile. Pure silicon spray wont harm anything and is EXCELLENT lubricant. Most scooters trans-axles are hard mounted to the frame, they have no suspension, maybe yours does have some sort of suspension, If it does spray all the joints with silicon. Hope this helps

hi.

with good batteries, and under ideal conditions (flat smooth surface) this scooter should be good for up to 30 km.
this is highly dependant on the surface, slopes, rider weight, and battery condition, but with good batteries you should easily be able to do a round of golf.

the biggest problem you may have will be the batteries themselves.
after 18 months without use, the batteries may have suffered from a sulphur build up on the lead plates in the battery. this can mean that the batteries will show fully charged, but will not put out the full power. the best way to test this is to take the batteries down to your local car garage and ask them to do a "load test" sometimes called a "drop test" on the batteries. they will usually do this free of charge and it only takes a few minutes. a 100amp load test for 8 seconds should tell you the condition of the batteries.
if the batteries test ok, then you should not have any problems using the scooter for a round of golf.

hope this helps

Do you have any idea how hot the motors should run under normal conditions ?. The only way to confirm is to connect an Ampere meter in series to the motor while running. For which you will have to disconnect the positive wire ( RED ) going to the motor and connecting a 25 Amps Amp meter in series. Run the scooter after a full charge and monitor the reading, if after the mentioned 20 minutes the reading starts shooting up to more than double you are having insulation breakdown in the motor. It means replacement of the motor or rewinding. This insulation breakdown is what causes our house MCB's to trip when a faulty the washing machine runs for sometime. The enamel coating in the motors copper starts to short the windings on heating up thus increasing the current consumption. hats why the Amp meter in setries.
Second thing you can check is
After a full charge disconnect the charging circuit from the battery and then try driving and see how long it runs. The battery charging circuit has a rectifier which can go faulty and can short when hot.

I have a PRIDE scooter. It is a Victory model but

1)Make sure the battery's fully charged..
2)Your brake lock and unlock leaver under your seat..be sure its totally engaged in the locked position in other words ''all the way pushed down''.
3)Take the shroud off the back, this can be done by removing the seat, hold the seat leaver up towards you ,Now you should be able to rotate the seat when you have lifted that leaver when it does rotate lift up the seat it will come off.now that the seat, the shroud are off. you will be able to see the battery's make sure the connections are good and tight...
4)Tilt the scooter over on its side there is a grayish white cable this is your front-to-rear cable follow it from the front to the back ,make sure there is no cut or broken spots'which would be a spot on the cable that looks as if its been scraped against the ground .If there is a brake in that cable it will need replacement.
* Put the shroud and the seat back on the scooter if everything checks out ,Get on the scooter turn the key make sure that needle goes all the way to fully charged mark go slow tap the top of the console if it stops faster than it did before or doesn't at all your looking at a new key switch.

hope i was helpful good luck.

My scooter has a code 31 that says has to be

Sounds like you need new batteries. This code indicates a low battery condition.
If you have a digital voltmeter measure the voltage of each battery. Above 13 volts is best, 12 volts indicates a 50% charge. The total voltage when you add the two batteries together needs to be above 17 volts for the electronics to work.
Batteries that sit for several months may not take a charge. You can try charging them separately with a car charger set to gel/deep cycle setting to bring the voltage up. Make sure they are disconnected from the scooter and do this only for a short time, keeping your eye on them. The batteries may be too old and the plates sulfated by sitting too long.
A new set of U-1 batteries is my best recommendation. They are available locally and on line at a discount. If you install them your self you could save over $100 on the labor cost alone.
To clear the code install the new batteries and turn the scooter off and on. The code will clear itself when you disconnect the batteries. Charge the new batteries fully before use. Hope this helps.

No Power on my Victory when not plugged in.

is the freewheel mechanism engaged if this is not the case I suggest you check all the wireing looms and also check each wire individually it may be that some are broken or have simply not been connected up to each other or may have been connected wrongly to each other and really you should not be useing the lights or the horn when it is plugged in to the charger some types of scooter also have a reset switch usually beneath the rear shroud some where usually you are able to access this by putting your hand into the opening that the seat post goes through upon the rear shroud although if you are not aware of exactly where it is you may find it easier to remove the rear shroud to find it also strip all the plastic shrouds from the scooter front and rear and check all the connections of the wires and make sure they are clean and have not become crusted up with rust or any thing else for that matter and if they have then ueing a mall wire brush or a piece of sandpaper clean them up and re-assemble them make sure you only do one at a time though to make sure you do not connect them up wrongly alternativly if one wire proves to be faulty then it may be easier and better to dissconnect it at both ends and rip out the faulty wire and get yourself to halfords or a similar shop that sells car parts and buy yourelf some wire as well as a crimping set for connecting wires and there individual connectors and then rewire the faulty part or parts try useing a circuit tester on all the vires for each and every individual wire until you have tracked down the fault or the faulty parts or components and replace what ever is faulty or maybe faulty clean up all the connetions make sure that no rain or moisture has got into or affected the parts or the connections as they will and can short out also test and check out the circuit boards and if it is thee that need replaceing it may be cheeper to just brek the scooter down for spares and sell the spares off seperatly and put any money you gain into a piggy bank until you have enough to buy another second hand scooter or even a new scooter although you must make sure any of the parts you do sell are in good working order as if it is te circuit board that are at fault unless your able to replace them or fix them cheaply then it is not worth keping the scooter intact and you are better scrapping these parts as they cost too much to replace unless you are lucky enough to get another scooter of the same make and model type that i working except for say the seat or bodywork or sub-frame is not any good and then from these two scooters make one good one if it is possible as the parts otherwise are not worth the cost of replacing them however check that you have got the correct battery types as they should be sealed lead or sealed gel batteries as some make the silly mistake of buying themelves a couple of car batteries or similar thinking that it is going to be a cheap andeasy fix that will work however this is not the case also do not recharge the battery for a few minute or an hour or two but leave them charging up over night or at least for 8 to 12 hours however if it is not the reset switch or any other problem that can be easily be resolved check about in the free ads and other various places that advertise cheap and free scooters and scooter parts to see if you can pick up the parts you need cheaply good luck and bet wihes I hope your problems are resoved soon and quickly

Pride scooter wont budge, rear wheel locked.

firstly check and make sure that the free wheel mechanism is engaged so that it will not move by you simply pushing the scooter this is usually a lever hidden in many cases beneath the rear shroud next to one of the wheels usually upon the right hand side as in one position it will allow the scooter to be pushed instead of driven and in the opposite position it can be driven and not pushed as this is often a mistake many new to disability scooters make and are often not aware of especially so if they have purchased the scooter second hand and with out a manual explaining how there particular type of scooter works this frequently occurs also due to the fact many need such scooters but can not afford the price of a brand new scooter which is not really suprising when they can cost several thousand pounds for some particular makes and models when purchased brand new owever if you are not aware of the existance of such a lever and either your children or grand children have been playing with the scooter and discovered the lever and then just pushed or pulled it into position to see what it does or as I have experienced once or twice children outside shops up to mischief can throw the lever makeing you then think upon your return from within the shop especially if it is not possible to take the scooter into the particular shop that your scooter has broken down and then you often end up haveing to pay to get you and your sooter recovered and delivered back to your home which can be very expensive to say the least if this is not the cause of your problem it may be that there is a fault in the breaking system itelf as scooters can and do use one or two or more braking systems the moment you release the control lever to stop the scooter moving in the direction required and at least one of these braking sytems is buried deep in the scooters motor and uses an electromagnetic brake which applys itself the moment that the controls are released and this is the mst common type however there are others including manual overrides for emergency if you find the scooter will not stop simply by releasing the controls if however this is not the ae I would sugget that you get a qualified repairer of mobility scooter look at it as it is not possible to repair yourself if you do not have the tools and are not qualified to do so as the breaking sytems are there for your safety as well as the safety of others and it is not recommended trying such repairs yourself as if you do not know wat you are doing and make a mistake you could find that wen you take it out after you think you have repaired it you could suddenly find yourself hurtelling forwards into traffic or running into a group of people in the local shopping centre or similar events that do not really bare thinking about and in my opinion if your not qualified to make such a repair the it should in this case be left to a qualified proffesional as any repair that could put you and your life at risk should only be done by a proffesional and is worth spending the money upon it especially to ensure your life and safety as such sould take the highest priority especially when it could endanger the life of yourself and possibly others also but in thi cae you ould also start by removing the wheel and checking the wheel bearings and if they are ok then use Some WD-40 to try and loosen the problem and re-grease the bearings and maybe replace the bearings if this prooves to be the cause of your problem good luck and best wishes I hope your problem is resolved very quickly as I know there is nothing worse than being housebound as I myself have terminal Cancer and if it was not for my own mobility Scooter I would not get out at all and would be housebound so all the very best too you

I have a victory 3 scoter, the batteries are full

this may depend upon many factors as to what may be the cause of the problem and the solution many scooters have a small box linked into the wireing somewhere some have only one others have more but upon opening the box you will find inside it a blade fuse the same type as is used in cars and you can obtain replaements at many garages or halfords stores or most any where else that cars are repaired at or that sell car parts or spares firstly check the fuse as you have suggested also strip the scooters body work off of the scooter and check all of your wiring looms and connections for any loose or broken wires or connections that have been overlooked when re-assembeling the scooter failing all of thee possible soloutions I would try find a local mobility scooter repair shop however if your mechanically minded and understand things like wireing and mechanics you may want to obtain a circuit tester and check each and every single wire at both ends to make sure that there is no break any where within the wire and if there is then replace that specific wire or wires but opefully it will be simply a blown fuse but also heck your controls and make sure that there is no moisture or any other kind of liquid getting into the controls as liquids of any type can get into the electrics causing it to short circuit and stop it from working as such I would also suggest that you obtain a small cartridge of waterproof sealant and once everything is assembled and working you coat the connections and wires at all the joints with the sealant to stop and prevent any liquids getting into the connections and as such prevent any problems from occuring that can be caused by rain or moisture or similar liquids getting into the connections and wireing also though take care that you do not coat any connections before they are coupled together as if this is the case the sealent will also prevent electric from passing through the connections if you are silly enough to coat them before assembely

Hi.The best idea if you are not to sure, is to get help. If you want to do it your self, be careful, batteries can be dangerous if shorted out.
Each battery has a positive ( red ) terminal, and a negative ( black ) terminal.
Change one battery at a time, make sure the scooter is turned off and /or unplug the battery leads.
The red wire will go to the red terminal ( positive ) onthe battery, the black wire to the black terminal.
Each battery should have 1 black wire and 1 red wire to it.
Remember, be careful.Neil.

I have a pride scooter that will not run at top

hi, first check the speed throttle by moving it in the upwards direction while the speed control is turned fully on, if there is a response to moving the speed pot in up and down direction , you founf the fault, otherwise the speed control is at fault, if thats proves to be okay then its the controller breaking down , check the brushes on the motor.

Scooter won't budge

hi,

it not a flywheel, it's sounds like the brake either seized on or the controller is activating it ,

Now you will need to remove the brake mech on the side of the electric motor , and now you should be able to drive the scooter.

Please let me know how you get on.
