Neil is right, the serial number is on the seat support. From that the year can be determined. It's mostly moot, as Pride only has a 1 year warranty, and after that, it Parts and Labor. Why are you asking?

If it is an SC1700, the year is 2008. I will verify for sure if I can find located on the scooter somewhere.

Change the XLR PLUG ( three pin male or chassais female are easily found on the internet. Always plug the carger to the mains supply last and remove the mains end plug first when unplugging. check for shorted wiring inside the XLR plug

There are several the right hand tiller leaver is for adjusting the tiller pitch the left hand tiller leaver is the hand brake - keep that lubricated and squirt a bit of wd40 down the inside of the brake cable if you can. The leaver on the right of the seat post is the motor brake freewheel leaver, the seat leavers are for swivel, back pitch.

If the scooter in question is a Pride Victory with on board charger ? ( you plug a mains lead into it ?) now what happens with this particular scooter as the charger starts to fail, it's not charging the battery correctly, if you have access to a multimeter DC setting , check the voltage from one of terminal of the battery to the other terminal of the opposite battery, now it should read at least 18 volts , 0 volts then you need to change from one terminal to the other and same for the other battery ,, now if it below 24v that's the problem because as soon as you put it under load the voltage drops to under the minimum working voltage for the controller , hope that makes sense so other-words you need to replace the on board charger , contact me and I show you a way to do this cheaply...Regardswww.gewizrepairs.co.uk?fixya
