hi, well the error does depend on the controller used if it's just three flashes ans a pause the following statement is correct however if it 's three flashes then it flashes again a different number of times then the fault is something else , can you please confirm this ? the manual said The motor has a short circuit to a battery connection. There is no reset switch. Measure the battery voltage at the charging socket of the scooter, the 2 outside pins.

Faulty brake or scooter in freewheel.

Sounds like a blown transaxle. If the scooter has had heavy use or a heavy rider this would not be uncommon after 3-5 years of use.

You should find it marked on the wheel and or around a tyre valve. If you have standard tyres and tubes check your not very useful Pride instruction book.

hi, that code is telling you there is a issue with the brake, whether the resistance is incorrect (bad connection to the brake or the brake itself has failed) or the micro switch has failed...If you're able to disconnect the bake cable and have a smart meter etc , then measure the resistance, should read from 30 upto 60 ohms... The brake is located on the side of the motor from there you will be able to see the micro switch that operates according to the freewheel lever...make sure drive mode is engaged , turn off then back on ,,, Please contact is you require further help... Sounds like the surface of the relay needs to be cleaned. Doesn't let enough juice through the connection to keep the contact. Might even just need a new relay. Or "Curtis Module."

Hi yes it could B the control box .but before U do any thing I would load test the batteries first. U can buy a battery load tester on E/BAY FOR aprox $35 good luck

Hi. The batteries for these things seem to go bad rather quickly when they are not used, but here is something to try..... So called "smart chargers" are what everything is going to. They analyze the condition of the battery and if everything is good, charge it. If everything is not good, according to the parameters of that charger, they don't. My suggestion is to take the battery out of the unit and try an old-fashioned analog battery charger for a little while, set to the proper voltage for the battery, of course, and monitored closely to measure the effects. If the batteries seem to take a charge, put them back in and run it a bit, then try the on-board charger again, just don't wait until the batteries are completely drained this time.
