Electric Strider Maxi 4 Wheel Mobility Scooter - Cherry Red Questions & Answers
Phoenix 3 red light flashes but scooter will not move
This usually indicates a high voltage/current issue. Check your wiring for discoloration and melted connectors. Usually replacing damaged or worn wiring will fix this unless you have a defective component causing the high current issue. I would definitely look at the wiring very close. A high voltage/current issue can damage sensitive components if not found and be very costly to fix. Replacing the battery wiring harnesses and related wiring should fix this problem.
How do i change the front and rear lights
The light lenses will either have screws attaching them or they will be pop off lenses in which case the lenses can be popped off with knife blade or a small plain screwdriver and there may be little indentation to allow a screwdriver to fit in between the lens and the light assembly body. Once the lens is off you will see the light bulb and it will either pull straight out or it could be one that requires a twist to the left or counterclockwise to remove. If there are two elements there will be two contacts on the end of the bulb and you must install it the proper way as on retaining dimple will go into the bulb socket further than the other one. If it is a LED light then you will either have to replace the whole light assembly or do some soldring of wires etc.
Why when mobility scooter not moving when engaged but when disengaged moving slightly
The unit is not made for "medical approved" market and does not have a POST (Power On Self Test) to confirm wig-wag (throttle) is in neutral when it first turns on. SOLUTION: Put the scooter up on blocks so the drive wheels are off the ground. With the SPEED KNOB turned fully clockwise, adjust the wig-wag (throttle) so the cart will not run and the brake is engaged when the cart is in neutral. There are usually Allen screws in the wig-wag handle that can be loosened and re-tightened once the wig-wag pot is properly centered for neutral.
