Need a carburator for a powermate 6000
Hello Diana,
My name is Larry Boccioletti, I am a coleman repairman from Ontairo Canada. The Coleman you have I am presuming is a generator. Coleman do not supply engine parts for the generator.
If you can supply me the serial number I will try and locate what horsepower your unit is and the engine manufacturer. I will also
get you the part number and Canadian price for the carb.
That's the best I can do for now.
Thanks

Will crank and run but gover arm will move and
It sounds like the carburetor needs to ether be cleaned or rebuilt. Try running a little bit of carburetor cleaner through it and see if that helps. If not then take it in for a tune up. Have them rebuild the carburetor while they have it and this will get you back in business. Hope this helps. Good luck.

No AC out put
After working on several of this style coleman generator,i have found that the lead wires in the windings that are soldered to where your brushes would contact tend to break.I don't know if it's a poor design or just a fluke,i would check to see if your getting continuity on the rotor and go from there. They seem to either "burn off" or just break.

The 220 plug has 4 leads and my 220 compressur has 3 wires how do i make the conection
The four wire 220 twist lock receptacle Two hot wires, one neutral, and a safety ground. Depending on your generators setup the neutral and ground are bonded as one; unless, it setup for a floating neutral.
You would normally connect the two hots and neutral. and leave the ground open on the four prong twist lock plug. Just make sure the compressor is earth grounded on its end.

Why do I have no spark at the coil
A few things can cause lack of spark at the ignition coil. This assumes pointless ignition system.
- The stop terminal is intentional grounded IE stop switch on.
- The stop circuit is shorted to ground.
Remove the plug wire from the plug so engine can not start. Remove the stop wire from the coil and try starting the engine while testing spark. If spark is now present then check the stop circuit.
- The coil pack itself is bad.
- Flywheel magnets are demagnetized.
These can check by seeing they attract heavy metal object strongly.

Generator is leaking gasoline out through the
Most often fuel leaking out the carb is caused by a needle and seat problem in the carburetor / the float level shaft screw may have come loose due to the vibration of the engine ,this will cause a leak issue with the needle and seat as well. To complete the repair the carb will have to be removed and cleaned. Replace the needle and seat if necessary an then replace the carb.

Powermate model 544000 generator undervoltage
There are basically 2 possibilities that can cause this.
1) Enigne RPMs are too low. but, since you already played with the throttle, this probably isn't the case. RPMs should be about 3600 though.
2) The voltage regulator / capacitor has high ESR (resistance) or is bad altogether. Replace.
