I would check the tension on the spring that pulls the nails into position. Make sure that when the rack of nails is out, that the loading mechanism is reaching the top of the gun. I would also recommend that you oil the gun prior to each use. If you are using it regularly through outt the day, then I would definitely recommend oiling it through out the day.

You may need to replace the clamps too. I always replaced the clamps and springs as a set. And make sure the pad is in good shape. Here is the parts diagram.PC505 diagram

Router bogs down when starting to work

Several possibilities--- Are you using a short and stout extension cord plugged into a robust outlet? Is the bit dull? Are you taking too heavy of a cut? If you are cutting a wide or deep slot you should probably take it in 2 or 3 passes making the slot deeper each time.Good luck.

My nail gun won't fire nails and is blowing It

Stop using it and take it in for service. If it is leaking air then an o-ring or seal may have failed (most likely guess) and it needs to be replaced.

Noises like that are usually a bearing going, or gone, bad. If you keep running it eventually the alignment of the armature will be off enough to make contact with the field and one or both will get damaged enough to warrant replacement. Bearings run between $7 to $15 to replace. Armatures are $175 and Fields are $110 for your router.

Porter-cable plunger extended and will not reload new nail

could be a jammed nail in the nose assembly, try removing all the nails and dry firing. If still the same after making sure nothing stuck in the nose, you probably have an issue with the firing valve or piston.
