To get GPRS setting,You need to contact your service provider(Vodacom) through phone or go directly to their office.
They will send you the settings for your model.You will receive service settings in the special text message called as smart message. Please save the settings to your phone and set it has a default settings.Then you can start using the GPRS in your phone.

How long have you had this phone? The problem with these iPhone clones is that the functionality is not that well built that is why you are having such issues.

Can you tell me if you are getting any errors?

At&t WAP Setup

***First Step***
1.Main menu --> Select Services
2.Select Data Account --> Select GPRS
3.Select the first entry
4.Edit the account name to whatever you would like
5.Edit APN to wap.cingular (lowercase)
6.Edit Username to [email protected] (UPPERCASE)
7.Edit Password to CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
8.Edit Auth Type. to Secure
9. Save
Select Back --> Select Back

***Second Step***
Select WAP
1.Select Settings --> Edit Profile
2.Select the first entry --> Edit Profile
3.Edit the name to whatever you would like
4.Edit Homepage to http://device.home
5.Edit Data Account to the Name you established in the First Step
6.Edit Connection type to HTTP
7.The IP address is 066.209.011.032 and the port number is 8080
8.Edit Username to [email protected]
9.Edit Password to CINGULAR1
Select back or done
Select Activate Account

You should now see a Black [G] in the upper left of your screen.
To access the net select Services --> WAP --> Homepage.
If it connects the Black [G] should turn Green

MMS
Select Messages --> MMS --> Message Settings
Select Server Profile
Select the first entry
Select Edit Profile
Edit Rename Profile to whatever name you would like
Edit Home Page to http://mmsc.cingular.com
Edit Data Account to the same data account you created for WAP
Edit Connection Type to HTTP the IP address is 066.209.011.032 and the port is 8080
Edit the Username to [email protected] (UPPERCASE)
Edit the Password to CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
Select Done or Save
Make sure to activate the profile and you are good.


For all of you guys out there that need to setup your internet on the cect I9, using att service.

i had the same problem, here is what i did.
1. when you download the song, click the documents icon from ur main screen.
2.click memory card
3.scroll down and find the file
4.click it, and from the menu hit "copy"
5. choose the folder you want and click it, it should pop up "empty"
6. go to options at the bottom and click it.
7. you shoud see a menu that says "done" "open" "new folder"
click done. it should pop up "copying" then "done" and ur all set

HI: Take off the memory card and plug it into the computer slot if your have it or use a memory card adapter then, drag music from you library to you card. If you want to put videos or games you'll need a software for reformat it.

google the term .. how to set up the internet.each carrier is different and it take alot to set up.

1. At the main menu, select “Settings”
2. Now select “User profiles”
3. In the next menu, select “General”
4. Now “Customize”
5. Select “Tone setup”
6. Choose which SIM (on dual SIM card phones) you want to assign a ringtone to.
7. You will now see a list of available ringtone.
8. Select it.
You should see at the very bottom of this list 5 empty locations this is where you can add your own mp3's as ringtones.
Now I Know your second question once you get this figured out will be how to assign ringtones to individual contacts in your phone book so here is part 2. 1. From the Main menu choose Phone
2. Choose Quick search
3. Find the contact in the list you want to add the ringtone by scrolling down the list and tap on their name
4. Choose Edit
5. Scroll down the list of options to the Musical note called Associate sound and select the ringtone from the list.
Your new ringtone will now function for that contact whenever they call!

The iPhone knock off...AKA the pPhone. I have one of those. . u need to Call ATT Tech support and they will walk u thru the set up on the phone for configuring the Gateway and such.

contact your network provider and talk to the operator service they gonna provide you the settings

if you have a web connexion not wap connexion, it's easy just go to skype.com and chose phone skype mobile version.

if you have a wap connexion or limited access then ask you phone operator

OK, if you are talking about the phone security code which was usually asked when the phone has been restarted, here is how we fix this.

You will need to enter in the wrong code until you are prompted to enter the PUK code. Click HERE to read how retrieve the PUK code.

You get GPRS not subscribed error because the setting may not be properly set or it should have been changed by mistake.You have to save the settings correctly.Some times you may refer to old GPRS setting.Refer the GPRS new setting properly.

Main Menu select > Services > Data Account
set the current GPRS setting properly.

If you sill not able to figure it out you can get the SMS setting from network service provider and you can save the setting so that settings by default account to you.

To make your GPRS working you should first need the settings for it.You cannot set it.Your network provider should give the default gateway address for it.Then only you can use it.
If you already have set the setting and now if it is not working because the network service provider would have changed the gateway Ip address.You have to again set the new one.

Please call your network service provider and ask him to send the GPRS settings for your mobile.He/she will ask for the mobile model and send you the appropriate GPRS setting.You will get the settings as an SMS.go to inbox and save the setting...

Now you can work with it.Your phone has no issues with GPRS.Only network service provider has to give the correct settings.

The "insert sim" error is a common error. Usually it is caused from putting the sim in incorrectly.

Try this. If this is the one with the sim card ports that are on top of eachother than put the sim card in the port closest to the phone with the gold side pointing up.

Insert battery, turn on phone.

On the phone, go to the main menu. Tap phone settings. Tap dual sim settings. Tap to open sim 2. Go back to the main screen.

If that does not resolve go back to phone settings, tap dual sim settings, tap to open sim 1, go back to the main screen.

If this is the type of phone with the sim card ports seperate, insert sim with gold side down in either port. Go to phone settings, tap dual sim settings, tap open dual sims. Go back to main screen.

If this problem persists than either the phone or the sim is defective. Test the sim by putting it in a phone that belongs to the carrier the sim came from. If it works in that phone it is not the sim.

Download Opera Mini (I use version 3.1.0) to your computer and transfer to your phone with the included USB cable. Then install it as a Java app. DON'T use your phone to download it or your internet will still be in chinese. Opera also helps solve the insufficient memory errors you get when trying to view large pages, since it has a way of compressing them. Had this same problem and searched everywhere for a solution. This is the only one that works.

try rub thr sim card and battery contacts with a rubber, to clean any build up of grease/ ionizing on them

Please use the phone with another simcard. If the problem continue then the net work on the phone is poor in that locality.
