that monitor was made by several manufacturors for gateway. Might try talking to GW tech support with serial # and see if they have something.

There is no way to do it by mouse click. But most monitor's have an auto adjust button

The problem with the monitor is the power inverter board. I took my monitor apart and tested all the power outputs. The ones going to the main board where ok but the ones going to the backlight where different. I changed the three capacitors on the power board that where located between the two heat sinks I think it was the 1000uf and the two 470uf. They looked ok but when i tested them they where off. Next on the opposite side of the board with all the little componites there are a few dry joins that you have to resolder. If you cant find then you can just resolder the whole back board it should only take 30min. If you have no idea what i am talking about i would not sugest taking the monitor apart.

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

LCD monitors have very high voltages operating in them and thus can only be safely worked on by a trained technician. Attempting to repair a monitor on your own can result in damage to the product or injury to yourself. Also note that attempting to repair the monitor yourself will render any warranty on the product null and void.

The problem is most likely in the inverter board or the display lamps "less likely" the inverter board is bad for bulging capacitors that open causing the lamps to flicker or go on and off like a lamp switch. The option is to attempt a repair or replace the board "If available"

could be a transformer, but also could be that one of the capacitors is faulty, or not compatible.

If it has Gateway EZTUNE anti-theft installed and you do not know the password, then you will have to contact Gateway support to give you the default password to unlock it. Is this monitor bought from someone else?
