Connect yout tomtom to the computer. Go to my computer and open the tomtom drive to see if anything is there. You may have cut and paste instead of copy and paste. If this is the case format your tomtom drive and reload your backup.

You have to change the voice to a computer voice. Go to where you choose voices on the main menu Change preferences > Voice preferences > Change voice. Find a voice with the word "computer" in the name and select it. At that point you will be asked what you want to be announced. By the way, this is called "text to speech" in TomTom talk.

Sorry but not unless you made a backup of your tt with the address on it.

Tao the map screen tap preferances and continue to tap forward until set clock comes up and then just follow the instruction.

You should be able to go into preferences, then manage favorites, tap the one you want to delete. When the next screen comes up it gives you the option of deleting it.

The tt 330 does not have text to speech (tts). To get tts you must have the tt330-S.

If you are not bothered about using it on battery your tt should work if you have it hooked up to a external power supply such as the car charger or home charger. If it doesn't work using either of the power supplies then your problem is deeper than just needing a new battery. Check the pins on the bottom of your tt to see if they are bent, or out of place. The most common problem for them is the negative pin on the far left with the lcd screen facing away from you gets bent or is not making contact even though the green light is on.

Tap "Reset factory settings" button to restore the factory settings to your TomTom XL. All your settings, including Favourites, your Home location, warnings for POIs and any Itineraries you have created are deleted.


Tap "Set Clock" button to select the type of clock that is shown and set the time.

Your best shot is to contact Tomtom, tell them what happened and they will help you out...
Be ready with purchase receipt....

You essentially have to reset the GPS. You can do this by holding the power button down for at least four seconds to get the Tom Tom to fully shutdown. You will know you successfully did this if you hear the tom tom sound and a warning message appears during startup. It then seems to work just fine after that.
