Vista - try to run as administrator

XP - try uninstall it, reboot and press F9, go safemode, install it in safe mode. if nothing happens reboot again and login to your normal user and install the game. now it should work fine =)

make sure you have the proper directx installed.......

Games, like MOHAA I think play good in windows 8.1 and windows 10 , I already prove it that. just, make sure the version of your OS, 32 bit, or 64bit. and just copy de MOHAA folder if you have a backup of your past OS eje: windows 7, justo copy the Mohaa folder. it should work. Have fun! Carl

Could be an over heating problem, in which case try: Clean all the internal fans. Also check the cpu, you made need to re-apply some thermal compound to the heat sync (be sure to clean all the compound off first ). Worked for my old 360, hope it helps for you.
